Mario and Martyn are in the process of building a new teardrop for me. The new teardrop includes a permanently installed Propex heater. I will no longer need my portable tent heater that I used with my Chaser.
Sooo......I have an AT Overland Equipment Portable Propex Heater for sale.
This...
Saw this one the other day. It is made by NOCO Genius. They say it can be mounted on an ATV, so I'm guessing it's weatherproof.

I flew up to Provo to check out Moby1 about a month ago. We spent about half a day at their shop, and also visited their frame and suspension manufacture's facility. We had given Moby1 a refundable deposit to hold a production spot for an XTR, contingent on our visit. If I recall correctly...
I'm using Marathon Seat Covers
I've been using Marathon seat covers for the past 2 months. They are a bear to install.
I've subjected them to several trips. They are comfortable and do an excellent job of protecting the seats from spills and dirt.
When are you pulling the trigger on this?
I'm interested, but I need to decide which trailer I'm purchasing. Won't know that until I take a look at AT's teardrop in late November to early December.
What is your deadline for order placement?
Max Coupler Difficult?
I have a Chaser that is pretty difficult to move when loaded and off road. It typically takes me about 5 minutes to align the truck and hook up the max coupler. (one person operation with a backup camera) The hitch alignment is almost always done with the vehicle...
Just received a similar setup from Relentless Fabrication....after being on order since February. :Wow1:
I assume your bumper is 3/16" plate steel. What is the weight unloaded? (i.e. empty swing away)
Maybe a subject for a class at Expo?
Don't know how much interest there would be, but could this possibly work for a class at Expo? Maybe the class could cover transportation issues specific to overlanding, conceal or open carry, national forest regulations regarding weapons, common...
Take a look at a power curve for your engine. A larger diameter tire, in effect, gears your vehicle higher. (i.e. if you were running 2500rpm @60mph before the tire swap, and you change to a tire that is 10% larger, your new rpm's at 60mph will be 10% lower, or ~2250) You want the vehicle's...
Sierra 4x4 thread, gone?!
:lurk:
Hopefully the mods aren't protecting vendor's business practices at the expense of its community members. I can't imagine this IS the case. I appreciate ALL the information and experiences shared in this community....not just the sugar coated, self promoting...
Thanks.
The Adventureduo has written quite a bit about their transition. They sound to be very happy with the switch. I'll search for comments from Strega and Hildweller.
I am considering moving from an AT Chaser to a teardrop.
I'm looking for real world experience, from those that have actually made the transition. Is less trail capabilty worth the extra comfort and setup conveinence of the teardrop? What's the biggest advantage, disadvantage, and/or...
Just saw a teardrop in Overland Journal's Fall 2012 issue on page 26. It is in the Overland Expo article. The picture is located in the bottom center of the page. Anyone know the manufacture of the teardrop?
Thanks
Relentless Fabrication- Taco Armor
I went with Relentless Fabrication for all my bumpers and body armor. All my stuff should arrive next week. Went with the bolt on sliders. Looks like they will be within your budget. Relentless uses Fastenall to ship his product.
Pictures of the rear bumper?
What, no pics of the rear bumper? Do you use the stock, rear hitch? I assume the rear is aluminum, correct?
I like the looks of the front bumper. If I hadn't already placed my body armor order with another vendor, that front bumper would definitley be in the...
