I had a gallon of herculiner in my basement, but I was not sure I wanted to try it on wood since I need it for something else. So i decided to try a deck over paint. Wow, I am impress with the result. Very scratch resistant, no gloss finish and wood texture does not show at all, thick enough...

And I know that my ladder steps are kind of texturized, not the smouth type like the ones we see with grip tape.
