in need of a new camp axe or hatchet

Nice job! Look sharp and it is not a joke! I tought you wanted a hatchet. That looks a little bigger and since it is bigger, for camp usualy means that you need two hand to really make good use of it. About the extra wood at the head, one dangerous issue for the handle is if only the head...

    Ammo can idea thread

Ok, so like I expected, you add to rinforced the door. I did the same to my YJ door at the time and would do the same for the TJ if not going with the hd bumper tore carrier that I already built. There is a lot of good ideas out there, but you on top of that, are en entreprenor. Kept it...

    Offroad teardrop build

I do not see any problem using 3/4" for the floor. My utility trailer use 3/4" ply and it is more then enough to carry hard wood fire wood and dirt and rocks or anything else.

    Keeping it light

I am a beleiver in winch and high lift and recovery gears in my travel, but again, It all depend on what type of trip he is willing to tackle. Simple dirt road and turn back when he sees an obstacle make a winch not really not necessary. I know for my self that I would not like to be stop by...

Little mods/upgrades/additions that make a big difference

Guys, just be carefull with Hockey pucks. They are very sturdy for what they are made for, but can crack and brake over time. There is a difference between using them for hockey and drilling them and mounting them to support weight. So,e giys up here even used them as body lift. But they are...

    Ammo can idea thread

In the past, I got some isuues with my YJ rear door. I had to change the hinges, but more than that, my door broke in the middle. At the time, the heaviest laod on my door was a bike rack with an aluminiun bicycle on a regular spare tire. Now I know you have modified your door to become barn...

    Post up your drawer/storage system

Perso, my drawer set-up is not complete yet, but everything heavy or less is always some how tight-up to the floor of the jeep or trailer, with tie down strap and florr ancher at the least. I like to be able to reorganized for traveling mode or dd mode. This is why I prefer the boxy type of...

    Keeping it light

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

That Inagree with, but I don't think he is at that point yet. But do not think he should go much wider with the tires. And I have never lost a beed on a wider tire than a wheel before I got to the right wheel width for the tire. Standard steel wheels of my YJ (7") with 11.5 and even 12.5" (...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

They actually put more pressure on the bead than a wider wheel. As me how I know. But they could feel mushier as you say, but if they are radial it should not be that bad compare to a bias.

    Reseating a stubborn tire bead.

This as a tendancy to happen when the wheel is to wide for the tire. But then again. Some times it just happend. But never tried or had to try the bike tube. Could be interesting if I ever run into this problem.

Hi-Lift + Lift Mate to fix a flat tire?

The colapsable stand is a good idea, but the way they use the jack in the vid scare me be time. It is not better than a high lift and to my experience less safer with all the time he as to reach under the truck and the housing while the jack is leaning in the wrong direction to push away from...
