Excursion Auxiliary Power Set Up Help.

Good catch. I wasn’t paying attention when I added the winch to the diagram. It’s a 12v winch. Here’s a rough corrected copy. I have surface mount resettable breakers for the main line to the rear fuse bock. The front one has an in line fuse. I’m all ears to suggestions. I know barely...

    Yokohama X/AT

I’ve got 30k on mine on my excursion. 35”s. They are great tires. Still have about half tread left, they are a little louder than new but not bad.

Ram 5500 Fire Crew Carrier Overlanding Camper Build

Well that sucks. If you buy one to replace it I would suggest a fire hooks unlimited pro bar. They are way nicer and forged out of one piece of steel. That paratech was a three piece bar. I’ve broken one before forcing a door, hopefully the thief breaks the head off of the one they stole...

    Cummins Canoe (A Stepvan Story)

Drat. I was really hoping to see the Cummins canoe on the back of the JB weld packages. “JB weld repaired the crank shaft on this masterfully built overlanding machine saving hundreds of dollars in the process”

Suburban vs Excursion for Family of 8

Fair point. I had owned the truck for two weeks when it happened. I had driven it home four hours with no indication that I had loose lug nuts. The only thing I could’ve done different was to check the Lugnuts as soon as I bought the truck. In hindsight that would have been a good idea. I’m...

Suburban vs Excursion for Family of 8

Crazydrei, you are absolutely correct. I’m actually going to look at a 3/4 ton suburban this week. If it works for us I’ll be trying to figure out how much I can actually get for this 7.3. Baymonty, Good luck on your hunt!

Suburban vs Excursion for Family of 8

Well I’ve owned a V10 excursion, a 7.3 excursion, a 6.0, 6.5, and an 8.1 suburban. My current whip is the 7.3. Honestly, I’m very close to being done with it. That powerstroke will nickel and dime you to death. Unfortunately it’s actually more like $1000 increments. Its needed, multiple front...

    A Tale of Two Excursions.

Here is a picture that I took this morning. If you are on the fence about the JW Speaker headlights you need to buy them. They are amazing. The cut off is clear, The temperature is a good compromise and they really help with night driving. It was not a cheap upgrade but it was very worth it.

    A Tale of Two Excursions.

Okay so it took a bit longer than a week. There are a lot of little pieces that you need to get when swapping to the sealed beam set up. I swapped to the sealed beam set up so that I could use some the numerous high quality LED replacement lights. I settled on JW speaker Evolution 8910’s. I...
