Take the Winter Hood with you and use it. If it is not right, I'll take it back and fix the problem. No worries.
I will wait for your post on bedding, and add my $.02 worth.
Have a good trip.
I have had a Globalstar phone for a number of years. There are many places that I go where cell service is non-existent. It has worked for me when needed in the US, Canada and the West Indies.
We have fitted many tents to the Thule Exporter rack system. It is sturdy and reliable. The crosss bars are wider (front to back) than the standard Thule bars or Thule Aerobars. They can easily be accomodated ob tents with configurable mounting systems.
Give us a call if you have further...
I have a set of 300s - 6 towers and three 50" load bars - that I pulled off the Landcruiser last week. We have a new rack made for our tents by Baja Rack, so I can part with these.
Let me know by PM.
One thing to bear in mind is that trailer suspensions are a lot tougher on a RTT than vehicle suspensions. This is exacerbated my towing lightly loaded. The pounding can be very tough on some parts - hinges, for example.

I prefer the Yakima through the roof tracks to the Thule ones. I have the Yakimas mounted on my ARE cap and carrying a Maggiolina. The through holes are sealed with silicone caulking, and so far no problems.

This used to be true - the mattress on the standard is just over 72". Now we have both the Maggiolina and the Columbus in EXTRA LONG.
These tents are over 6'8" on the mattress. I haven't met anyone yet who does not like the extra space. The Maggiolina XL will be on the website in a couple of...
THE OverCamp shown in the linked photos does not have the center ridge pole extended. This will tension the tent and raise the ridge pole in the center of the tent about 16".
The Winter Hood is not one-size-fits-all. It is available in small, medium, large, and Xl in small and medium. The stowage bag will be marked with the size and Maggiolina models that the hood will fit.
Yes, we have brought in several Maggiolina Carbon Fiber tents. Right now it is a special order item, and deliverable in March.
We are updating our website to include several very nice new models. Should be ready in a few weeks.
