    FOUND Vans For Sale!

Man you ain't kidding. If the cab is anything like the box it looks like the body is just about ready to drop right around the frame, on it's way to the ground.

    Sawtooth XL Build

Man, you guys with your mad wood skills both amaze and agitate me...because the only thing I've managed to do with wood with any degree of skill is turn it into a pile of charcoal. Well done on this build.

    4x4 ambulance in Denver

Man I wouldn't give anywhere NEAR that money for a van that can only do 14-16 MPH on the highway.

Went to look at 4x4 van for sale

There used to be a website somewhere that documented all these types of builds. I wouldnt buy that van for anything except maybe parts. That's a complete and total hack job by someone that "thinks" they know what they're doing.

Three months in the NW with 2 dogs and a cat in a van

Love your pups and pictures. I couldnt do it though. My thread title would read something like "Three months in the NW with 2 dogs and a ca...Two dogs in a van" My Weimaraner isn't exactly a cat lover, except maybe as a chew toy. :)

No Politics: This Is Why Electric Vehicles Won't Work In The Long Run

I'd like to see a study on how green EVs actually are. I have the impression a lot of the people on the street who are proponents seem to think the power for these just appears at the socket in their garage, but it doesn't. For conversation it's accurate enough to say that electricity is...

    What year CJ?

Given that goal, I'd find a decent TJ Rubicon and call it a day. Factory 44s w/lockers, a solid transfer case, and you could fit 33s with minimal effort. Go 99% of the places anyone is likely to want to go in an off-road situation that wasn't all about obstacles for obstacles sake.

    1979 CJ7 QuadraTrac Build

I doubt I ever hit a 1/2 ton with any of mine. An M416 is a perfect match (450-550# as I recall) size wise for this style Jeep, and if it's hauling camping stuff 500# of cargo would be a real accomplishment. To me anyway.

    Type 1 Ambulance "The U.A.W" or "Adventure-lance"

Did you take them with a cell phone? And sometimes rotate that cell phone so the shot would fit in the screen?

    1979 CJ7 QuadraTrac Build

I'd probably weld the nuts in. Weld, not those wimpy little tacks the factories tend to use. And when you weld them in weld them with a bolt in them and snugged down. When you back the bolt out it will chase the threads on its way out and help pull out any distortions in the nut from welding...

    Father and Sons Build Too

No. The way your trailer is constructed the bulk of your load is biased to in front of the axle and stops right where your tongue connects to the frame, and you have a fairly long span from there to the ball connection on your hitch. In essence it's just begging to fold in half. Even on the...

    1979 CJ7 QuadraTrac Build

Are you kidding? Those welds are world class compared to the factory bubble-gum. Never quite figured out how those frames held together. A little tip if your interested. Grab yourself some weld through primer and prime your plates before you weld them on. Not perfect but it adds a bit of...

    1979 CJ7 QuadraTrac Build

Shoot, if you want to work on the bottom side, throw a tarp down and stand the thing right up on its butt. Gotta pull the lights and what-not but it's the easiest least painful way of doing working on the belly if you don't have a lift or rotisserie. Inspiration.... This is a 1979 I...

Stolen Rooftop Tent - Keep your eyes out please

I'm of the firm opinion thieves should be shot, dismembered, shot again and then killed some more. Calling them scum does a disservice to honest scum.
