    2002 Volkswagen Jetta Tdi

Dead thread protocall? So if the OP posted his car and it sells...is posting other stuff after that considered bad manners? Hope not...;) I was thinking that it would be a great motor for one of my Heep projects. I have a few ongoing (well, mostly on hold now) but really would like a diesel in...

    Ford F700 Build

And... Maybe by moving it forward you can shave off a hundred pounds or two by cutting off the extra frame out back? Or maybe uses it to be the basis of a rear deck/porch?

    ARB air line question...

I hear that the air lines tend to be the weak link in running an ARB. Good routing and careful placement are understood. And I got that there is a pretty cheap repair kit available. I have a question a little off all that. Since the line is not much more than some plastic tubing what if I ran...

GPW...mmmm And if you don't mind me asking...what was the asking price for the GPW?

    What would $4500 get me?

Don't forget the oddballs... While I naturally love the flatty you were looking at I am still a little confused. Are you a rockcrawler? Play in the mud? Fireroads are extreme to you??? A little of all?? I'm not trying to be nosey...But if you don't care so much then the buy in amount will lead...

    What would $4500 get me?

More input... OP. What are the intended uses for this? Seems your shooting for more of an open top fun buggy than a serious Expo type rig, yes? Please list some stuff like likey wheeling conditions, Road vs off road %, number of required seats (ie just you or is a family along)...anything you...

    Hemtt/ Define America Project

Not leaving a great deal of easily accessable area for the enigne is a HUGE Mistake!!! They are cool trucks. I, personally would like to see a simple 4 or 6 wheel variant. only two steering wheels also.

    Hemtt/ Define America Project

Thirsty... We run several configurations of them here in Iraq. None of them are fuel friendly. figure between 1 (yup, single little lonley digit!) and maybe 4 MPG. Depending on the load, road, and weather. Are they capable? Heck yeah. But...they are also maintenance intensive and hard to find a...

    Newest addition to the family

Tuff call... I really like it. Its unique. I am a little stumped on it though. Hard to say what has or has not been modified. If it is a 40s era Bantam I think it should have had round fenders..easily changer though. But the tailgate should have been a Civy only thing IIRC. The Military likes...

    The Trail Servis Concept

A couple thoughts come to mind here, all just my opinion and based on little more than my own experiences so take that as you will. -Rearching springs has usually proven to be a temp. fix. Somehow the retempering and curving of a "used spring" never seems to last or perform as the OE did. And in...

    Newest addition to the family

I don't believe there was a 7' variant of the M series trailer. Could be an oddball but I don't think so. More likely is that, given as much other "fab" work has been applied to this trailer, that it was stretched.?. Check the inside of the bed, the frame, etc...to see if there is an area where...

    The Trail Servis Concept

Me Likey FSJs... Howdy to a brother FSJ owner! Nice Waggy. I like your concept but I too think the weigh may be a bit of an issue.?. You will need a set of airbags in the back of the waggy to help keep it lever if your doing the SOA on factory springs. Heck, even with aftermarket Rustys springs...

    Diesel News: POST HERE

Man on the moon... Never? Hmm... I don't think I would say the "N'' word since who knows where we will be in 20-50 years (other than much older..haha). Is that a high bar to try and reach? You betcha! But hey...we can put folks on the moon...right? I just look at some of the other diesels out...

    12v and 24v question...

So being an electrical nimrod...can someone explain somthing to me please? If one had a diesel truck like my 99 Dodge with its 2 12v batteries...Would it be even possible to wire in a couple 24v offroad lights from the existing system? Kinda a dumb/odd question but I have a pair of military off...
