    I think it's just a dream of every D2 owner to have a diesel and mpg's in the 20's! I'll stick with my 4.6 for now. It is cool to see someone do a conversion properly, albeit very expensively.

    Did some digging because I thought I had seen this truck before. It was built by "Roving Beetle" on Dweb. Not sure if he is here. It appears a little worse for the wear than when he sold it, but that may be just age. From what I recall the AC was working when he had it, ebay listing states...

    Totally agree. I enjoyed working on the subies I have owned. They are not complicated, very easy to work on.

    Sounds like the previous owner liked to overtightnen things, including the plugs. Also, Evap code could be as simple as the gas cap not sealing properly. Any good independent shops in your area? You're getting hosed at the dealer.
