3 burner camp stoves. Coleman 426/428 or Camp Chef?

I run an old coleman 426b, absolutely love it. It simmers better than my stove at home, and you can crank it up and really get some heat off of it. Bought it on ebay about a year ago

    SPOT vs In-Reach

The new inreach will still pair with a phone, and is easier to send a message that way, but it also will send and receive messages in a stand alone mode. Just not as easy to type the message

    SPOT vs In-Reach

I had the spot 2, and never had any problems with it, but just upgraded to the inreach se. The 2 way communication is nice. I go out solo a lot as well and it is nice to know that if something happens at home, my wife can get in touch with me. I have been using the inreach for about 2 months...

Anyone in Socal with a roof top tent

Larry is a great guy, and has an awesome rig, but I dont think he is daily driving it to the shop anymore, might want to give him a call first. Either way it is worth heading out to see him. I would say your best bet is to watch for the next Orange county meet and greet or head down to san...

    Vehicle Recovery Questions

I have not tried it personally but have seen a lot of tow truck drivers use a long strap, open both front doors and pass it through between the door and a pillar, then close the doors, making a "bridle" to get a point in front of the car to attach to

    Vehicle Recovery Questions

I have carried Maxtrax in the truck for 2 years, and finally got to try them out last week. My rig is pretty heavy, and I was towing a small trailer playing in Oregon Dunes. Long story short, got myself stuck, stuffed a set of maxtrax under the tires and popped the truck out like nothing, did...

    WTB: Expedition Camping trailer

There is a guy on Calguns selling one, bit far from you but it is way under your budget. With what you save you could take a road trip to get it. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?p=12408022#post12408022

Mojave Road or Azusa canyon shake down

I pretty much always recommend cleghorn for new people or shakedown runs. You can pick and choose how hard you want it to be, and there are normally people around if you get in trouble
