cmarrow I would read all the pages lots of good info and your questions have been answered there. Its worth the time if your serious about buying the trailer.
So I have a Family of four. My wife, two girls (4 and 8), my fat self fit just fine in the smittybult XL roof top tent. We also purchased the annex with the plan to have the girls sleep down there with an air up mattress. The girls want to sleep up top though lol. The dog (a 90lb blue tick coon...
These finally showed up at my door. So relived. I have a trip the first week of April to out side of Reno. Was afraid they weren't gonna show up in time. Now I just got to figure out how to install them.... no instructions lol.
Last year we stayed out side of Williams. Did a pig in a dirt pit it was great. There is a group of us that go. I am the only one with the Smitty trailer. But some are in roof top tents and other's in other trailer brands. Its only like a 35 mile drive from williams back into flag.
I wonder how well one of these would hold up to use as a tire carrier:

Hoologan your really making some head way fast. Question I notice when ever anyone adds battery components to their set up they always mount it to a piece of wood. Is there a reason for that? Also let me know how your Rtic holds up. I ordered one and it only made it 6 months before the lid...
Just a warning the XL RTT Annex has a lot of slack still in it even with the tent as high as it will go. Going to try parking the trailer on those work ramps for changing oil on your car next time we go out and see if it raises it high enough then.
Here are links to the two pieces I purchased:

Not sure if the folding cargo carrier is the exact one. I think...
Yep your off on your math for sure a 3 inch PVC pipe will hold .3 gallons per foot. Even if we called your 20 inches 24 inches for easy math that would only be 7.8 gallons for 13 pieces of it.
I think you are a bit off on your calculations Kraxler. I was going to add a water tank to that back area that would not interfere with my current ice chest or storage chest. The water tank would be 32x15x5 inches but would only hold 9 Gallons of water. That is unless I misunderstand where you...
Also I love that Actuator idea. Too bad they are so expensive. I was planning on trying to mount air bags or sissor jacks under the bars to lift and lower it. I have a low garage so It has to come almost all the way down to get it in. But when out camping I need it all the way up because we have...
Thought I would share some photos of my tire carrier. I took a folding gear crate that I got from walmart for like $50 and drilled two holes in it. Then mounted one of the tire holders that was on the crate the trailer came in to it. Only issue was the door would hit on the tire. Off to harbor...
