Thanks for the kind words. I just saw a 2014 with a J30 for sale for $68000. Newer and fewer miles so that's a bonus. Kidding (not kidding). I have gotten quite a bit of interest in the Jeep so I am confident it will sell before I change my mind and keep it.

I run the same setup as ratled...it is a ginourmous amount of Frogskins but all in all it was the easiest, most thought out way to go. I have converted my JKU to full overlander...and I run quite a bit of stuff off of the house battery with no issues at all. I also have a fold up portable 135w...
This makes a pretty good overlanding vehicle too. I had to make a similar choice a while back and I can tell you for a fact there are few more capable offroad vehicles than Jeep. Equally prepared a JK will leave almost everything else behind. If you just want to cover some offroad miles then...
Laugh it up...but I work outdoors and walk about 11 miles a day and ExOfficio is all I wear. Good socks and good panties are worth their weight in gold.
Quick question which I may be answering as I type...I am adding a foldable solar panel to my Genesis dual battery setup. Planning on SAE plugs (or larger gauge if reccomended) for the temporary connection. I will likely aslso build a few lengths of cable so that I can park in shade and run the...
I have spent a ton of time on Moab, grew up in Wesern Colorado so when we needed to thaw out we would go there. However, mosy of that time was spent on 2 wheels. I used to laugh at the Jeepers back in the day (35 years ago) as I went flying by them...good times. We used to take the Scout over...
Thanks for the replies...
The wheels were on it when I bought it. The weight, while pretty darn heavy IMHO, is only half the issue...the other half is getting the damn thing onto the tire carrier, while not being able to see ****** is going on with the bolt holes...I have 35s on the Ram now and...
As the title states...I am newbie to the newschool Jeeps. I just bought a 2008 JKUR, hemi swapped with a J180, and fully kitted inside and out. It has very low miles on it but it needs some TLC to get her road worthy. Joints, rod ends, a few bushings, etc...nothing major. It has a Traflex 4 inch...
