I know it's not the best way of trimming the battery tray but I used diaganol cutters. If you do it carefully it will come out clean. Be aware that when you make a cut a crack could run more than you want to. So take it slowly. Mine came out really accurate.

How did the eezi awn mattress do? Did you use or feel the need for an additional mattress?
Nice work Brian, I really like the theory behind the switch on the shifter. In my tacoma it was kind of pain to reach for my fog lights when there was oncoming traffic.

Your 80 is such a beauty. Sorry I missed you guys. The Friday before SnT my mom became critically ill, her heart nearly failed. She's doing much better now, she's at an acute care long term hospital. Hopefully she'll be out before thanksgiving. Talk about scary...

If I had a choice I'd go for the 100. It's younger, stronger(acceleration/braking wise) and slightly more roomy. Also, with the right protection and a skilled driver your 100 can do some really challenging trails. Lastly, if you end up getting a trailer your 100 wouldn't be so mad...

The reason I ask is I'm installing the perfect switch isolator in the 80 and it doesn't quite allow you to combine the batteries for winching. I shouldn't need it for a jump start because the aux...
For those of you with dual batteries and the ability to combine them, how many times have you had to combine them?
I don't mean just for charging, I mean how many times has combining your batteries saved your hide? Like for long winch pulls or because your starting battery was dead.
