    71"x94" CampingLab RTT alternatives

This unit from Car Top Camper looks to be pretty much the same as the CL, albeit a bit more $$. http://www.cartopcamper.com/index_files/3_Person_PolyCotton_Roof_Top_Tent.htm

    71"x94" CampingLab RTT alternatives

As much as I'd love to go with the CL tent based on everything I've read here about their quality and the awesome service Fernando provides, I may need to look elsewhere for the RTT. Is there something out there that's comparably sized, as well as comparably priced? Hopefully they will be...

    M416 Axle

I got mine so the bolt pattern would match the Jeep, and so I had electric brakes.

    M416 Axle

Yup. I got a 3500lb from ABC as well with matching bolt pattern to my Jeep. I went with what I think is a 62" axle, and probably could've gone a little narrower but it would've taken a bit longer and I needed to get the trailer running pretty quick.

    M416 shocks with a SOA.

I did an SOA on my M416 and re-used the stock shocks and it works just fine? I don't remember off-hand how I mounted everything and the trailer is at the storage yard so I can't go peek really quick, but there was enough travel in the shocks where I didn't have an issue.

    Fire Pans, NO MORE RINGS!

x2 In many areas of CO your campfire has to be in an existing fire ring. Kinda hard to have an existing fire ring if someone destroys them all.

    Scott's M416 trailer build begins

A quick question on your lid. I really like the style and will probably do something similar, except hinged off one of the sides to to allow for opening it while the RTT is deployed. Are you experiencing any binding in your lid at all with the lip of the lid and round the lip on the trailer...

    skinning a lid

Planning on making a lid for my M416 once I finish up some projects on the Jeep and am curious how you guys have actually skinned your lids. I'm planning on a 1"x2" exterior frame (2" vertical) and 1"x1" cross bars with a 16-18 gauge sheet across the top. Are you guys just cutting the sheet to...

    M416 trailer price???

Deals can be had out there, but they are far and few between. I got insanely lucky with mine, $350. Only slight surface rust and one tire had a slow leak. I think $700-$1000 depending on condition is fair for most trailers though.

Friends and Family in Moab March 2010

Awesome pics! What kind of camera equipment are you using? The shots from Hell's are some of the best looking pics I've ever seen of Moab.

    quick moab trip

That's our little ZJ, RE 3.5" coils, RE adjustable LCA's, KOR front trackbar, JKS rear trackbar, Aussie in the 44A, 265/75R16 BFG AT/KO's, and KOR Rock Sliderz. I used to run a similar setup on my ZJ (the black one is my wife's) and run the same suspension on my dad's ZJ too. It seems to work...

    Tire pressure on trailer

On my car hauler I run them at the max, which is like 50-60psi. On the M416 I pretty much run them to match the Jeep on the trail, usually 12-15. On the road I go slightly less than the Jeep, usually end up between 20 and 25. I've got 33x12.50R15's on the M416 and I doubt its ever gotten very...

Awesome $12 storage boxes at Home Depot !!!

The lid on mine snaps on pretty firmly, I'm not worried about the lids flying off personally. Also, my Pelican 1550 fits pretty well sitting on top too. Some extra room side to side, but front to back its a nice snug fit in the top.

    quick moab trip

Pam and I went to Moab for the holiday weekend. Didn't do any real wheeling but checked out some scenery. Baby Lions Back Little bit of ice/water on the backside We tried starting out on Fins, but being by ourselves and not aired down or anything it wasn't going too well, but we did see...

    Vehicle donors for trailer axle (5 x 4.5" BP & 60-65"W)

I'd measure mine for ya, but they're back in Denver at the storage yard and we're out in Moab right now.

    Vehicle donors for trailer axle (5 x 4.5" BP & 60-65"W)

If you go the Jeep unit bearing route, MAKE SURE you put stub shafts in like Stump said. You don't want to see the outcome of what happens when you don't. I didn't have any problems at all putting TJ Gambler wheels on my 3500lb axle from ABC. I'm not using the factory Jeep center caps, but...
