    Awnings

Anybody have experience with the Kelty Carport? It seems pretty versatile and probably a comparable price to hannibal awnings. I'm sure the hannibal is easier to set up - no guy lines.

    Expeditions West 2004 Tacoma

woah, everywhere you go it will be :sunny: courtesy of you that is... I've been thinking of doing something similar utilizing the not so common factory DC roof rack. The plan is really simple and allows the lights to fold back by sliding the rear cross bar back.

Thanks Scott. Care to elaborate more on this technique? I'm a noob :shakin: Mr. Hanson, thank you for the find words :jumping: You're right, there's something about the streaking stars and bright foregrounds that don't really capture the moment like this style of night shot. I still like...

Joshua Tree Nat'l Park May 26-28, 2006 This is what it looked like where we camped, it was beautiful without the moon. We saw a shooting start rip nearly from horizon to horizon - AMAZING. I didn't have my remote for my camera so I couldn't take any exposures longer than 30 sec.

    Canon L 24-105 IS 4.0

Hey Scott, I checked out the Tamron 28-75 f.2.8 and it's awesome. It was recommended by a friend who runs this site, www.8x10proofs.com. He also shoots for hot topic and other places. This is my next lens of purchase, it'll fill the gap between my 17-40 f/4L and 70-200 f/4L. My...

Thank you all for the kind words :victory: Not quite sure yet. I really would like to leave it off but it takes about 3 people to put it on and I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to use it when nobody is around to help me load it. I usually do spur of the moment trips...But if I leave...
