BTW just wanted to thank everyone for the great ideas in this thread. We are taking a 4 day weekend this weekend to do some wheeling and camping, and because of this thread I made up a huge pot of chili that has been frozen for saturday night dinner. I am looking forward to it! :D

Not to mention I am sure the curb weight of 7,190 POUNDS is lighter than an M105... but an M101A1 would work just as well! I think they would both do fine.

Yeah you should be able to get 105's pretty cheap. They aren't exactly in high demand.

Then I would suggest a good starting point would be a Military M105 Trailer. They are rated at 1.5 tons and are about the right size for a big ol excursion... Here is a stolen pic of one with a tent on it.

Nah that is primarily a military trailer thing. Pretty darn cool tho. I think I would just carry a set of cheapo chocks.
