    Who makes this?

Please do! Stop by for a beer or 2 if you have time! We live in the Selestat area. You should try the ferries to Greece around this time of year too. The "Pfingstferien" or Pentecost-holidays are only recognized in Bavaria and Baden-Würtemberg - no other German state or European country has...

    Lift rods vs GAP?

There is an enormous difference in functionality between the RSW Solutions Allcomms and the IIDTool. Hence the price difference. We are not getting rich... If you add about $150 to the costs of your setup, you can purchase a non-BT IIDTool. To raise or lower the air suspension with the...

    Who makes this?

So true! It's funny: last year I was in the south of France just prior to the Abenteuer & Allrad (which, for those who have never been is held in the middle of Germany). As we were driving back north, we were starting to see the occasional overland vehicle around Lyon, France (roughly 7-8 hrs...

    Lift rods vs GAP?

Hi guys, Wow. I saw this thread yesterday, but I was on my way out the door at the office and had no time to respond: now Don (zelatore) has done a wonderful job of explaining the differences. Thank you! And thanks to everyone else for the positive feedback! I have been meaning to write...

    Who makes this?

I hope you made it to the Allrad & Abenteuer show in Bad Kissingen this past weekend. Great show. They were saying it's the biggest 4x4 show in the world. And very travel/overlanding oriented. I buzzed up on Friday and ran from one appointment to the next. And, after getting up at 4:00AM so I...

:Wow1: Does this mean my RR classics will be worth something again at some point? :)

2002+ Range Rovers - Educate Me

The differences in the quality between the 2002(RoW) - 05 L322s to the 06> are mainly mechanical. As I posted in the other thread, we (GAP Diagnostic) do not see a huge difference in issues between the earlier and the later models. And we now have over 3000 IIDTools in service (I'd have to check...

Buying Advice on a Range Rover

Doug DeMuro had a pre 2006. As has been mentioned before, the earlier L322s did have more issues than the 06-09's. Ford improved quality a lot. We (GAP Diagnostic) see this in our stats and support requests as well. That said, people live with D2ss, P38s and the like. The L322 is miles better...

    33" BFG K02 on my '10 L322

Thank you! I will pass that around the office. Compliments like that will ensure lots of smiles.

    33" BFG K02 on my '10 L322

Glad you are happy! You really only need rods if you want to increase the height by more than 50mm. And, while this looks cool and works on a parking lot, it does not really make sense off road because you end up with next to no droop left on the front struts. That said, rods and the IIDTool...

    Reliability of RR L322 2009 and Defender 110 (or 130 HC) 1985-90

Thanks rokrawlr! We see the reliability differences with our customers. The 2006> L322s are better than the earlier BMW based models - but for the most part that only applies to the gasoline powered RRs. The BMW V8 is not bulletproof whereas the Jag motor is great. Electronically there is not...

    33" BFG K02 on my '10 L322

I run 275/65 18s. And I am in no way objective, but I see no reason to use anything but an IIDTool or EASControl. :-p Judicious use of a heat gun and a block of wood to reform the liner should do the trick in the right rear. There is usually a bit of room over that hose.

An airline rupture, isolation valves and changed bump stops

Hi Jeremy, Kudos for the great write up - I never saw this thread. I do remember you talking abut this situation in another thread, tho. I am one of those who prefer the air suspension to coil conversions and, in the spirit of the KISS principle, I also am not a big fan of manual pump up kits...

    L322 details

Just out of curiosity - how can you see if it's stock or modified from that pic? The tires are actually a bit bigger than stock 275/65 18s (32") and the suspension is not at off-road height - it is a standard height reprogrammed to just under off road height using... guess what tool. LOL I can...

GAP Diagnostic– new products / IIDTool update announcement 12/2013

Sorry for the late reply, but your kidding: the dealer is going to hold you to every last mile on the warranty? You can't call, explain the situation and friggin drive there? What a bunch of silly bureaucrats... BTW, I assume the Green Oval Kit is an "add air" kit? I am not a big fan of those...

    bad taste in mouth

I just wanted to correct this: based on the nature of inflating air spring from a source with higher pressure, this is a very common misconception when it comes to air springs. When you lift or lower an air sprung vehicle, you are not changing the pressure in the air springs. A 5700 lb vehicle...

GAP Diagnostic– new products / IIDTool update announcement 12/2013

Hi SRS, Sorry for the late reply again. Need to stop by here more often. CMB and axels are completely correct: you are always making changes to the current height, not the original height settings. We have discussed this numerous times internally, and while it would no doubt be a nice feature...

GAP Diagnostic– new products / IIDTool update announcement 12/2013

This is exactly the case (thanks cmb!). The updater program for the IIDTool also contains the simple control interface program for USB. It is explained in post#6 at the beginning of this thread with a pic. No, at least not in the short term, unfortunately. The programming of the EAS ECU in...

    lr3 gap tool suspension value?

...just a quick note: the mm do not equal mm in real life one to one. They are close enough to give an idea where you are, tho. And, benton, it really is very easy as cmb says. If you end up unhappy or lost, the original EAS values can be restored from the Save/Restore menu as well. Here is a...
