Battery banks and RV windows, worth it?

I was lucky and picked up new windows on KIJIJI . they are glass sliders but single pane . For power my gear trailer has 2 T105 Trojans hooked to a 700 w inverter . this will run a ARB 50 L for 3 or 4 days . then a Honda 2200 for recharge if not near a power hook up . The spacKap I am working on...

Looking for thoughts on truck for hauling camper

I know In your OP you said Road Trip. But if you are thinking Overland vehicle , then you need to watch videos by 4Xoverland and expeditionOverland . They both have good information as to what your truck should be .Or better what not to be . The truck you have picked out checks all the boxes of...

Hay Viking you seem to know your way around ford trucks very good . you would not happen to know where I could find a set of factory skid plates for a 2019 F250 . I got my truck off the lot ,and that is the only thing missing that I needed .thanks

I agree a lift will only make the truck with a camper less capable on and off road . A new f 250 stock can have 24 inches to the bottom of cab or doors .12 inches to bottom of air dam ,remove the dam & 7 giving 19 to the bumper . you will be dragging the differentials long before anything else...

Hard-Sided Pop-Up Camper by Hiatus Campers

Do you make a 8 foot model with doors ,but you can still leave the tail gate on ? as a older guy I like the built in folding step on the tailgate . just a bit more safe to get in and out of .

I have a question ,I have been looking at you pictures and wondering . In the bottom section walls did you try to utilize every little nook and cranny? or just build it out square and stuff it full of insulation ?I hate to wast space but seems like a lot of extra effort to get a couple of...

Jacob Maybe try boiling water in a kettle on two quart sauce pan with a lid . Also have you thought about spray foam from underside of the floor ? you would not be loosing any head room that way . But I don't know about the long term affect on the van. closed cell foam maybe OK

    Another Spacekap Build

Well i sort of have a safety concern with propane inside ,maybe space too. On a sail boat it would be on the back rail . Problem is though in real cold temperatures a propane bottle left outside only gives up about half its gas .seems everything is a juggling act when doing this stuff . Some...

    Another Spacekap Build

Yes I agree any thing you can use from the marine industry is usually a better quality ,especially wire and electrical stuff. So may I ask were is the propane tank going to be mounted ? It is a bit of a challenge to come up with a design for a 4x8 footprint that has sleeping, eating and a...

I know its too late ,but did you consider the Chinese Diesel heaters . Guys that have installed them are having good luck with them. I will be starting an 8 foot SpaceKap build right after the new years . Mine does not have the cab overhang . Ordered Jack legs for easy removal ,they cost more...

The best I can tell you is go to the Summit racing equipment web sit .they sell half a dozen different brands .they are a big suppler of racing and performance stuff .Good pricing and quick delivery . They probable sell built out motors for your truck . From what I have seen the EFI does not...

HillBillyRV Build Thread - 87 Ford E350 Quadravan Pathfinder Conversion

That is amazing Jacob ,two years to build it out and 3 days to tear it down . But the jeep looks real good with the rubi wheels and a real nice stance with all the weight removed . I see you think about 13 MPG ,thats not too bad ,I must have gotten a bad one . think I was under 10 . If it is...

    thoughts on full size

Well that is the main difference between a 250 and 350 from my investigating . A stock 250 has a 3 leaf spring pack and I think 3.5 axle tube .a 350 has a 5 leaf spring pack and a 4 inch axle tube . the front suspension are the same or at least rated for the same weight . A 250 with camper...
