For Sale Specialized StumpJumper M2 Pro $500

You might think about parting it out on ebay. That XTR crank, rear derailleur and SID would likely sell for what you are asking for the whole bike.

Sorry - have been in Death Valley the last week. #3 on the list at 20-30%. Would like a Mt. Rainier with a tall ladder. Thanks Steve

    Tacoma to 80 series?

I was in almost the same boat. Had grown out of our 94 extended cab 4x4 (kid). Even with 33s regeared with 4.88s, it would get 20mpg under all conditions. I moved to a 96 cruiser, bumpers, rack, winch, 305s regeared with 4.56s. Super reliable, comfortable and capable. Pretty consistently get...

    Nemo Helio Pressure Shower

I'll echo nwoods. I've used one on a few trips now - 8-10 or so showers. Compact, easy to use. Doesn't heat up much sitting in the sun for a few hours. Much better than a solar shower bag. Easy to fill with a bit of warm water from the stove.

Has anybody used a Kelty Car Port Deluxe?

I've been using mine for about 4-5 years. Takes <10 minutes to set up. Works great for shade and light rain. Had an issue with a torn seam after year 2 or 3. Kelty fixed it at no cost.

CAMPTEQ's 80 Series Land Cruiser pop top Prototype

I have to say I was expecting around $3k too. I would buy one today at that price - in fact I went to OE ready to plop a deposit down. Oh well. It is cool - slick water jut cut aluminum and great welds - but unfortunately out of my budget. Perhaps Campteq can practice some good old first-degree...

Re Salida... Hi Glenn Love it! I would say it is perfect for "active" retirees. The number of active 50-70 year olds is amazing. Lots of outdoorsy things to do, relatively inexpensive for housing, surprisingly good music and arts scene and great people. Safe - crime is not much of an issue...

    ExPo Dads?

I'm fortunate that my wife loves camping as least as much as I do, but I've taken many trips with just my son beginning when he was under a year old. The key for me was (and is) to adjust my expectations about what I can do with and without my family. In the beginning, camping was pretty much...

    Real world mpg's

I get a pretty consistent 15 mpg. Bumpers, winch, 33s roof rack, 4.56s. 90 percent highway.

    Slide out trailer kitchen

Very cool. Thinking of a smaller, but similar idea for my 80. What are the quick couplers you're using for the cold in on your water heater?

    Heating a Wildernest/Flip-pac

Rando - Here is one observation on the Propex. I have one in my Syncro Westy. I mainly use mine for taking the chill off when we're winter camping. Rarely use it unless the temp is below 20-30 outside. With the top up and no insulation on a 0-10 degree night, a beer left on the top of the...
