I just finished (for the most part) the rear storage/fridge mount/aux battery set-up for my 4dr JK. This was custom built around the deminsions of my Edgestar 43qt fridge. My requirements:
Keep the back seats
Keep access to cubby storage
Keep access to jack storage
Include aux battery storage...
Thanks, I used two L-brackets on top one bolted to each rollbar in the back and then two custom brackets I bent that attach to each rear seat brackets on each side. You can see these in the last picture. It's all pretty tight with the battery box. I built mine around the exact deminsions of...

So using the copper pipe as a heat sink would that require the copper to extend outside the vehicle or could I run copper pipe from the battery box to the point I need to exit the vehicle and run rubber hose from there through an exit hole in the vehicle somwhere?
I used an EZup over my trailer and RTT because the trailer doesn't have a top on it yet and I wanted to protect the contents in case it rained. We it did rain and I was suprised to find that the EZup was holding water! So much so by the time I realized it I was afraid it was going to bend the...
I'm building a battery box as part of my storage/fridge mount in the back of my 4dr JK. I have the SEARS Platinum Marine battery and have read that these don't need to be vented because there is little chance they will off gas but could if overcharged. I don't want to take any chances so I'm...
Fantastic! Thanks for all the help everyone. I also found a 43 qt Edgestar scratch and dent fridge today and bought it so I should be set just need to get it all installed now.
Ok, so I'm pricing 30' of 4 guage for the positive and negative cables that need to run from the back of my rig to the engine bay. WOW this stuff is expensive. It seems that I can buy a set of 4 guage jumper cables cheaper than cable by the foot. Is there any reason I souldn't use the 4 guage...
Have you mounted your fridge yet? I have the same problem. I am looking at the 43qt Edgestar fridge. I was thinking about building a platform that would mount over the "30" split rear seat with the seat folded forward. I it looks like it will be a tight fit by my measurements. Did you...
Ok, thanks, I was hoping I could keep the winch wired to the main battery. My question has to do with the "manual overide" capability of the T-Max system:
"MANUAL BATTERY LINK(OVERIDE FUNCTION):
BATTER MONITOR WIRING
In an emergency situation (defective or empty Main Battery) or in case of...
Thanks for the help. I ended up getting the T-Max kit. Also got an 800 watt inverter. Now for the aux battery. I'm thinking about the Sears Marine Platinum PM-2 group size 34. It will be mounted inside my rig. My question is does it have to match the size of my starting battery?
