It is pretty easy to change hubs on most trailer to accommodate different jug patterns. I think it cost me around $150 to change from Jeep hub pattern to Toyota hubs on my AT Chaser.
The bars are currently set to about 52.25" wide but could go out to at least 55" full width of the bars if not slightly wider. Height from gutter mount surface to bottom of bar is adjustable from 4.75" to 6.5". I can provide you with some pictures of the mounts if you want.

For sale is a used Soft Topper model TCCC60 for any 2004 and later Tacoma double cab short bed. It will include all the hardware and the optional storage bag, boot cover. The truck top is used but in good condition with slight scuffing on the windows.

These were used on my Toyota 80 series to mount my RTT and are located in San Jose, CA.
Great shape and no rust. All hardware included. 4 small dia. holes discreetly drilled in each crossbar for RTT mounting.

I could see how that might be a problem but have no issues so far after 2 years of use. I am pretty careful about packing the fabric walls when closing the top so that may be the reason why mine has not worn significantly.
I am very happy with my Maggiolina Airtop medium. I am 6'1" and don't touch either end of the fabric walls as the top mechanism is now on the sides on this model. It also has a rear door giving the OP the entry/exit option he wanted.
If you look at the internal frame for an RTT you will see they have much larger diameter frame than a ground tent. The Maggiolina I have does pretty well in high winds as the walls are held taught by the internal frame when open. I have been on Pismo Beach during a nasty storm where the rain was...
