Bit the bullet and got mine from adventure trailers and their bracket. Yes it was pricey, but I like it. Saves my back from lifting the 20#Er out of the m416. No bad back on camping trip = priceless.
225 was the original standard size. However most if not all 4wd were changed to 265/70 at the port. However, its not unusual for a Toyota to register 3 to 4 miles per hr faster on the speed than actual speed. Going to a 265 may get it closer.
Heck yeah man. Just use it and enjoy. Sure they look cool all color matched and stuff, doesn't make em pull any better. Maybe make a lid you can lock then roll on.
Heres mine, new wheel bearings and lid, have less than $1000 in all of it. Like you, only $400 initial investment.
Breaking in nice. Better each time. Full, busy work day today. Little heavy by days end, but i havent been used to wearing boots all day for many years.
4runner over gx for me. I work at a dealer that services lexus and Toyota. Most of us in the service dept feel the runner is a more reliable and more trouble free than the gx. Yes, they made much the same but we just seem to see more goofy problems with the gx. And the air suspension, though...
Nice trip. The "smell" at Wickliffe was probly the Westvaco paper mill. Some days we actually get in here in Paducah. Not often, thankfully. Cause it is BAD. P U
That is a nice looking truck. Wheels and tires look good but would drive better with a 31 or 33x10.50. 22re and 5spd heck yeah. Maybe a little steep on money, but hey, long as its it fits for you is what matters. Enjoy
