Extended Cab UDs are only available in 1800HD and above. Be careful with that bc lots of ppl will list an 1800SD as an HD, but you can tell bc it does not have the extended cab. Same cab (AFAIK) from 1800HD up to 2600 on the UD, though the chassis and running gear changes at 2600 to 10 lug axles...

thanks for the info on that Charlie. Did not mean to say that the locker was poor quality, etc., just that it was the only one available so if you wanted ARB, E-Locker, Spool, etc you dont have those options. If there is only one choice, is it still a "choice" :D cheers, Jon

I am gathering parts, funds and info on building a Fuso version. It will be a tow rig though and not an expo truck. Solid axles, 4WD, ARBs, 33-35" tires, about 165" wheelbase and 10-11' bed. Overall roughly the same size as a crew cab F250 with an 8' bed. IMO, more manoeverable and larger bed...

with very very few exceptions, every car and truck in the US is 12 volt negative ground. Been that way for as long as I can remember. I am sure someone will prove me wrong somehow, but we dont get 24V auto stuff like much of the rest of the world. Some military stuff maybe and??

DPFs have a deservedly poor reputation, they suck. Talk to anyone who owns a 08 or 09 one ton domestic truck. They dont work correctly, cause all kinds of other issues (plenty of stories from friends who use their full size trucks every day for work), and worst of all, they KILL fuel mileage...

easy solution to all of that nonsense is a mechanical diesel motor with a Racor separator and a good filter. :D It will probably run on three wires, watch your gauges and you are fine.

check availability on the 3:1 kit, they stopped making them for a while due to lack of demand... They have a "new" 205 case and all kinds of upgraded parts for the 205. It would definitely be a VERY beefy case.. One thing to consider in a cabover is where to put shifters for a transfer case...
