Torsion Vs Leaf
Leafs are such a simple system and you can adjust easily to gain ground clearance buy buying longer shackles and hangers not to mention they are cheaper. I think your money would be better spent getting a Lock-N-Roll coupler.
I have seen shock kits for torsion axles. I would just try to sell those torsion axles and buy an axle that suits your needs they really are not that expensive.
I agree the box would really be nice for putting a few deep cycles and misc trail tools.
I spent the day making the body mounts to mount the bed to the frame I will post some pics soon.
I dont remember what resultant factor of safety was. Im actually going to use 2" reciever tube which is 2 1/2"x1/4" for the tounge and 3"X2"X1/8" tube for the A-frame.
1/8" Tube is plenty thick had a engineer run the calcs on it you would want 3/16 or 1/4 for channel. Also you have to think that this is a 5'X6' utility trailer and not a car hauler
Frame
Well I bought some steel tube 2"x3"x1/8" and am making the frame. Im not quite sure what I want to do with the tounge. I eventually want to install a tounge box on the trailer but was looking at a Chaser AT this weekend and kind of like the tounge its really compact, Or do I want to make...
Something to check out is tubing is cheaper than chanel in my area. Plus you dont have to miter/cope your intersections. Im building my trailer with 2"X3"X11 ga.
Be carefull there are alot of posts online that people have had the spindle hinge shear off causing the spare to fall off. There are some companies that have remadied this problem I have seen there hinges on Ebay. I think the people that have had problems have been using the 1" spindle.
I would...
Agree my brother-in-law has Rhino in his truck and it look awfull.
Im kind of wondering If I do the prep myself (Im media blasting the trailer) what Line-x will charge to shoot it.
I have a little coleman one I bought at Big Lots it fits in a cup holder and it can power my laptop and fairly good size printer with no problems.
Its 400 w output
I think the one you are looking at will meet your needs fine.
I had linex installed in a truck now I am building a trailer and want to Linex it but it is so expensive.
Im curious about the Do it Yourself bed liner kits a was wondering what brands people have used and there reviews.
I was thinking the same thing sure would be better than using a jig saw plus you would get nice smooth cuts.
Great looking trailer cant wait to see more progress photos.
