I have been using this system for 30 years and it works great for me. I use my expedition trailer as a utility trailer when we are home so all the gear needs to be stowed in the shed.
I have used this for about 3 weeks of travel and it has worked very well. We don't drink sodas and I usually do not bring beer. When I start the trip they are all full. During the trip if any get empty I will them with water to ballast the fridge.

I originally considered tailoring my tool set, however, as mentioned in the last post I decided I should have all the tools to help provide assistance to others. With a well maintained vehicle I hope to never need them for mine.

The pintle hitch is one of the great advantages of this trailer. If you purchase this one you will post likely want to convert it back. With the original hitch, the trailer could roll with out causing a problem to the receiver of tow vehicle.
