29 mpg??? I'd like to know what it weighs now.
It looks like a beetle eating a Toyota... or a terd (literally, not figuratively).
Oddly, it's kind of growing on me...
I recommend the 3.4. Mine has been great for towing that kind of weighted trailer.
The only drawback I see to it over the 2.7 is that it's a much more complicated to do a waterpump change and more frequently timing belt changes.
As long as the battery is sealed (like that one or an Optima) you can mount it in any position or get it wet. I wouldn't try to operate it underwater, but I don't think that dunking it in water every now and then would hurt. A bigger concern than the battery itself would be the connections and...
This isn't my install, but it was nicely done (two batteries under the backseat area)

RambleWriter did it pretty well

That Chinook looks like it´s in good condition. I had one about 5 years ago, it was a fun rig. I sold it for about $3k.
The 1973 Hilux had a pretty solid frame design... instead of a chassis swap, I´d suggest doing a solid axle swap to it. An old 4WD chassis will need about 3/4 of the items...
A mile lift? That's a serious suspension lift! j/k :victory:
Personally, I'd recommend putting the lift on hold for a new owner/wheeler. Putting on a suspension lift is a slippery slope, next is bigger tires/new rims, next is new gearing in the diffs front and rear... $5k spent, and the...
I think that an armored Hummer says that our society/country can afford to try to beat the enemy with full spectrum dominance, and the vehicle is just one piece of that. I don't think that anyone who might be shot at wouldn't prefer to not be hit, and therefore those who can afford it get...
Great looking troopie!
I dig the use of the wall space for small odds and ends. I've always done that in my 4Runners, they are loaded with space (and now stuff).
Keep the photos coming, you've designed you modifications well.
That is a nice looking old Tacoma. It takes me back to my days in college when they were a new model and I wanted one realllly bad.
I don't dig that visor over the front window though... and the sale price is surprising.
Ditto on the "have a friend (that she doesn't know) buy it." Have him stop by and put a note on the windshield or on her door to initiate the discussion. After he buys it and sells it to you, be sure to drive it by her house with a honk and wave :-P
If that doesn't work, then shop around...
That is one beautiful Toyota. A shot of bedliner, and it'd be perfect.
Wow, I've NEVER seen one of those service lights, just the underdash socket to plug it in.
Best of luck with the sale... I'm surprised you aren't asking for a higher price, it's unusual to see them in such condition...
