    Spare tire carrier ideas....

That is basically the same as the carrier I had made. Those tailgate type springs are just the ticket. I tried several different style springs and eventually a friend came up with the idea of those springs so I had him fab it up. I modified it to work with my truck. The beauty I’d that...

Top Side Tool Box Placement in Preperation For FWC Slide-In

All the side boxes I have ever dealt with are not structural in anyway for the truck. They are usually bolted or welded to the frame or bed depending on the configuration. The slide in campers usually are secured to the truck via chains/binders to an outrigger bolted or welded to the frame...

2021+ f150 aux dual battery for fridge???

I assume you are goin g to put the fridge in the cab (backseat) or are you going to have a cap on the truck? I’m not sure how the 21 fords engine bay is laid out but could you squeeze 2 lithium batteries into the stock battery tray and use one for starting and the other for house power. Or...

Carpet or No Carpet in Truck?

If I was going to for sure get into mud and water I would get nothing. No carpet or vinyl. Take delivery, remove the seats and spray lizard skin sound deadened over the entire floor then Bedliner on top. No insulation to get wet and tough.

    Carb at high elevation

I don’t have a pdf of the chart but edelbrock has a chart based jet and rod sizes. I’d change jets and rods at home until it is lean and almost not running. Put the stock jets and rods back in and carry the “lean set” with you and change them when you get there. Those carbs are dead easy to...

    For packing clothing...

I like my north face dry bag duffel and colored stuff sacks. Overall this is cheap, compact and modular. I can carry 2 weeks of clothes easily and it only takes up 12x24x12 space in the truck.

Best Single Jerry Can Holder for Bumper

Holy heck they are proud of that! I know it takes time to build stuff but wow. I just built this one for about $30 in materials maybe 20-25 hrs in fab time.

How to calculate street pressure for larger tires.

Wow math hard! Just air them up until it rides and drives right. To much air will be harsh and squirrely and not enough air will be mushy and sloppy. Hundreds of thousands of miles on all different size tires on rigs weighing from 3000 - 7000 lbs all aired up by road feel. I know there is...

    Box Rocket 1995 FZJ80 Build

That wrap looks great. How difficult was it to install? I would like to wrap the topper on my raptor.

    "Cheaper" seats for overland travel?

I would steer away from corbeau. I bought some sport touring seats and really don’t like them. They look good and have great support. BUT the back is designed wrong it has too much lumbar arch, so much so you can’t comfortably rest your head agains the head rest even with it folded all the...

So I think the Michelin Defender is the perfect all-terrain tire...

Michelin makes an excellent tire. I ran the original LTX from the ‘80’s on my full size bronco for years. It was a bit more aggressive than the defender, I averaged nearly 60k miles on a set, they were available up to a 34” tire. I ran them in deep sand a lot as we used the bronco to fish the...

    On board air options

I just installed a vevor in my truck. It appears to be a exact copy of the arb single. I couldn’t pass it up for 120 shipped. It airs up a 35 from 15 to 36 psi in 3 mins. Time will tell if it holds up. But again for 120 shipped it’s worth it to me as an experiment.

    Balancing Beadlock Wheels

I balanced the Hutchinsons with 35” Goodyear dura tracs and they run great. Most shops don’t want to do it because it’s hard on the machine. Spinning 125 plus pounds will burn burn the motor up is they don’t know how to set the machine up.

Lets see some full size pictures...

Here’s one of my 78 Bronco Ranger XLT. owned it since 1986. Just finishing a complete rebuild. Working out a few bugs here and there. New engine, zf5 trans conversion, rear cage, heated leather seats yada, yada, yada. Plan to use it to tow a off-road tear drop cross country soon.

    Bronco Rooftop camper?

I looked at RTT for my 78 bronco and just about any of the hard shells will work and provide some aerodynamic advantages over the soft sided type, but and it’s a big BUT the fiberglass tops really aren’t designed to support any weight. Even a luggage rack is pushing it. I came up with an roof...

Look at the gas mileage posted in this old Ford ad!

55 is the sweet spot for sure. My ‘11 raptor will average about 17mpg at 55, 14 at 65. On the other hand My 78 bronco on 35’s with 456 gears and zf5 gets 10mpg no matter how slow I drive. ??
