New couch folding backrest / extender made and installed!!
Works PERFECT!!
I’ve gotta finish up the trim on that wall behind the couch and then a little bit behind the fridge slide. Mount the 3 seatbelts. Wire up the DCC controller and power to the amplifier that now snuggled in behind the...
Some progress pictures.
I still have a ton of trim work to finish and touchup the polyurethane
Decided I wanted to make some changes. We built this interior almost 7 years ago
Since then, we’ve had some changes in our camping setups and I wanted some thing that was less set up time and also...
Getting ready to redo the interior with a sports mobile style gaucho bed and a lot more cabinets on both sides floor ceiling. Now that the kids have gotten older and we have a cargo camper when they want to go with me it’s time for dad to renovate the inside!! it worked great for eight years but...
Oh, that looks so good!! Part of my reason to stay with a small tire sizes we regularly tow and we just got back from being a checkpoint for the 24 hours at Hinton West Virginia. And she got in astounding 11 mile of the gallon going up some of the near vertical state roads near Beckley
West...

Also put in a new dual tennis fans to help with the air conditioning and a digital programmable thermostat that I’ve been playing with. You can tell when the fans kick on the air conditioning gets about 20*
colder inside.

Been a minute since I posted. Took her to Drummond Island and had an absolute blast. Turns out that’s a little rougher than what the vans designed for and I felt like I was abusing it.
Just ordered new wheels and tires after coming back from both Drummond Island and the Summit Overland...
Got her out for her first camp out. She did really good getting about the same fuel mileage as before no weird, whistles, or wind noise pretty happy with how everything worked out
Definitely needed to upgrade the fog lights and readjust the headlights so I put the big 9 inches back on and I...
Amazon and don’t buy them!!
I just replaced them with 300 watts of glass Renogy panels.
Those panels over 80° ambient temperature they were only putting out like 15 or 20 W of power. So anything over 60° outside they basically were worthless. ..

Here’s a pictures of the new glued on solar panels.
Iwent from 200 watt Renogy (broke one still WOEKS) to 380 flat panels.
I’m pretty impressed with them so far I haven’t had much of a power load in the van so I don’t know what their actual max charging rate is and turns out that apparently...
So today’s update I picked the Bumper material up earlier this week and had some ideas on what I wanted to do.
Ran out of time and daylight tonight but I got everything bent where it needs to be.
I need to do a full weld.
I’m probably going to put a filler piece in the wheel well and trim...
Oh, and the nice thing is is both the box and the spare tire carrier amounted to the door so in case of emergency, we can go right out the back doors without having swing arms in the way!!

It is a Ford factory rear spare tire carrier from a 2003 and newer van. I got it off of craigslist for 40 bucks and the guy gave me two other ones that are pre-93 because of a different hinge design that if somebody ever gets close and needs one and can use one, they are more than welcome to...
Yuuuupp.. baby steps thou.. she’s going to need glow plugs and the next year so I figure while I’m in there I’ll go ahead and put the super duty in a cooler Spyder valve and then I can do the intercooler piping. Right now I’m kind of tired of spending money on there and I want a Drive her...
It rained today…Gotta fix roof leak where roof meets poptop.. and last 2 trim panels can go back in.. I’m waiting on parts right now. Bumper material and little things like window tint and window visors before I put the interior door panels on. Aluminum box should go on after it quits raining...

BUSY day!!
2 gallons of blue metallic raptor liner and it looks pretty good for a driveway paint job!
Prep took about three hours if I scuffed the whole thing with a nylon abrasive brush wheel. Then I power wash the whole van and then the next morning we wiped everything down with big bath...
Gotta keep some chrome or my flairs will look odd..
Hydraulic jack.. hi lift to spread it apart.. and hours of using a planishing hammer to get it close!!
It’s not perfect.. but a Lund Visor should hide that ;)
