Thank you very much. It took me a while to build my trailer on and off for about 3 years. Tons of labor and money put into this build so I hate to have to sell it.
I wish you had the money to snatch it up from me too. Haha!
Yes it did squat pretty bad for the road trip. But you gotta take into consideration that my 4runner is built to be a rock crawler so the leaf springs are designed to be super flexy plus the springs at this time were about 5 years old. Hence why it would sag so bad. It would actually sag even...
Well I thought this day would never come. Already posted my 4runner for sale. But now I gotta sell this beast of a trailer. This one probably hurts me even more to sell because I built every bit of this trailer with my own 2 hands. Helped me bond with my step son and now wife while building and...
During the week before the trip i bought the trailer some new leaf springs.
I bought some cheapie Procomp 4" rear lift 1988 4runner leaf springsthey only ran me about $250 for both and still mounted up to the stock spring hanger locations so no extra modifications needed to be made. to use them...
Also I know it is summer time but last time we went on this Lake Elsinore camping trip the i learned the winds pick up pretty strong around 6pm and go on throughout the night bringing cold to the night. So this year i wanted to be prepared and have the Propex heater duct Kayak Deck plates...
Realized i forgot two pictures showing the passenger side of the front compartment. Here is the daytime pictures showing a bit more.

And here is the finished job as it sits right now.

Passenger side where drawer, power inverter access, propex heater and batteries are
Drawer open with just interior lights turned on
Drawer with exterior lights on as well. Not required but...
I welded 2 of these together. They will be used to hold the battery in place inside the front compartment.
Bottom of the floor board
Washers and nylon lock nuts hold these in place so they dont turn move. It creates a pressed fit.
Shaped this long plate to hold the batteries down...
I have a ton of updates for you guys that have happened in the last 2 months. The electrical panel and cabinet is completely finished now. So here are pix with explanations for everything i did.
First of all here are some youtube videos that helped me in my searching for how to properly wire...
Sunday i began to work on the front compartment cabinet. I did not take any pix. But it has already begun. I'll keep you guys updated. Crossing my fingers it does not rain and cause a delay.
I honestly do not have any plans for trips scheduled. I just got done using 5 weeks of my vacation/sick time for "baby bonding" since we just had our newest addition to the family so i need to accumulate more time in my bank for vacation. But am trying to make it a tradition in our family to go...
So i have finally finished running all the wires for lights and installing those LEDs now. All that is left to do is make a cabinet for the front compartment to house all the electronics and switch panel stuff.
Drilled the hole through the wood and metal floor. And installed a cable gland to...
That actually happened to me as well. I got a pretty big warp on the roof of my large conpartmentluckily the roof top tent covers it up so it's not an eyesore. But when it rains you definitely notice the roof collects 2 pretty big puddles accounting for about 1/4 of the entire roof. Other then...
I think i replied to you on facebook for this question but ill reply again in case you missed it. I bought my rock lighroclights from a local offroad buddy of mine. Company is called All4OffRoad.

I spent all day yesterday and today getting the wires for the exterior LED's cut to size and running them through the new roof cable gland and placed into the wire loom.
This is 3 sets of wires coming out of this waterproof cable gland. One for passenger, Front, and driver side lights...
I did tons of research and i got loads of wiring done this week. Have fun reading. Hear is what i got done this past weekend.
I wanted to test out the multi-switch switch panel that i bought off amazon as well for a lot of other things such as Master ON/OFF switch 100amp breaker which i may...
DUDE This has got to be one of the cleanest start to finish trailer fabrication builds ive seen yet. Great job man. I thought mine came out clean but yours looks like it all came out perfectly square. I cant wait to see what else you plan to do. Keep up the great job man.
It's nice to see...
Keep in mind your door doesn't weigh that much. I had previously bought some super heavy duty greaseable hinges from a local steel shop but my dad urged me to go against it. He said those big hinges are more for big heavy fences. So i went with some small 2" barrel hinges. These are similar to...
