You will get a lot of ********** talk about the front receiver, however I had a front receiver on my 470 and although I don’t have it currently on my 460. I did bolt it on to make sure it would fit. You won’t find any listed for the Vehicle though. The FJ cruiser model will fit. A lot of professional...
I just sold my 470 that I had owned for about 8 years. It was a great rig. No complaints at all. I sold it with some mild changes such as OME lift. I really liked the ride with this lift. It found a new home at my Son in Laws house and he now gets to enjoy it. At 175k on the clock and ALL...
I am not sure which that one is but I have 2 Blackstone gridles. A 22, 2 burner with a lid and a 17 inch 1 burner. They are great, my biggest issue is the weight. They are very heavy. My 17 inch is 30 pounds.
I dont have a 4 runner but I do have 2 GXs. My 06 GX470 has a 2.5 OME lift and my 2011 GX460 has a set of Dobinson rear springs that are factory height for air bag replacement. The Dobinsons feel spungey to me. The 470 carries a couple hundred pounds of gear all the time in the rear and also...
I am not sure were you loomed for your hitch but there are lots of sources that dont charge freight. Uhaul, Summit Racing would be my top choices to look at. I have ordered hitches off Amazon also and found some pretty good deals.
Good luck and search around.
Just my opinion, you are maxing this rig out with that load. On flat ground with trips that are not very far you will be fine. Any hills and it is going to struggle. I had a RX330 and I currently still have two GX's.
Thanks for sharing. I have been in John day the past two summers on trips to pickup my pups, but last year is was 115 and the year before they shut down for Covid.
I also say stick with the Sequoia. I have had pickups and there are pros and cons to both. We use the GX for tow rig and mild offroad. My trailer has flipped axle and able to make it into remote locations. The generator is mounted on a harbor freight rack that is attached to the back bumper with...
i have had my Rad Rovers for a few weeks now. We really like them. Have front and rear racks , dog carrier and all. Still new but I am very pleased. I sold my atv's because they were to hard on my back. These allow us the versatility while exploring and traveling to different areas. We can ride...
I tow a 18 foot Jayco Baja with flipped axle behind my 06 Gx470. My 470 has a OME lift also. I carry 12 foot kayaks on top, generator etc. My trailer is 3500 pounds dry. I have plenty of power and use a distribution hitch with sway control. I am very happy with my setup.
Well I dont throw my opinion in very often. I have been offroad jeeping since I was 14. Bought my first jeep at that age and am 50 now. I have owned and built, modified 13 jeeps for off road use. I have been part of jeep offroad clubs. I agree with both sides of the arguement but not to the...
I know this is an older thread. I just test rode Rad brand ebikes and loved it. We rented them for 10.00 an hour from a place in Wallace Idaho. We rode for 2 hours. 1 way for an hour up hill steady then back to town and road around town. I was extremely leary but am sold. Infact I ordered 2 when...
How about a GX470. I really like mine. I was looking for a 4 runner but they were very high priced with lot of miles. I am not sure how extreme offroad you plan to do? I was a heavy jeeper with lockers and front and rear winches, ect. I do more expedition wheeling now and really lime the GX...
Well hello, first thing is that I have a Gx470 and have had it for about 5 years. It is a great rig. I use it as my expedition vehicle, tow vehicle and road trip vehicle. I have 163k on it now and have had no issues. I have spent money on maintenance though. I currently also have a rx330. I sold...
Prev posts are all on track. Low and slow. Drive like you have a egg under the gas pedal. You defenately need to air down. 2 to 5 pounds in deep snow as long as you arent spinning the tires works great. Or invest in bead locks and just pull the valve cores. First thing I would buy is a winch...
