If you dont like it, dont read it. Simple as that.
What do you gain to give sutch a comment?

I like the reports, and i am a fan.

Yo, it wasent that big picture, but maybe you are on a iridium connection too?
I dont have gigabit, but 100/100 mb. =)
And witch russian website did you mention?
I started to read the german forum too.

I have read the post 122, and i understand the cracks that can happend when strong willpower peapole meet.
Now it is inportant to be looking at this with the third eye, to see the goals and to find the spirit of a happy expedition again.
I really hope no more big troubles comes up now...
I can understand it was a nerve werking waiting for the delivery of parts...
Customs will be nice i think. =)
Looking forward to here the next short mess from "on the road".
I would also mutch like to know witch "road" you are going to choose.
Best regards,

After a small web analys i discoverd this site:
http://www.runwayfinder.com/?loc=OME
Maybe it doesent look to "wow" at first glimt, but press the "IFR low" button and look for provedenyia.
Also the terrain maps are better with this link then google maps.
Just a tip.

Very great report.
I think better times are ahead.
Try to enjoy more of this Russian relaxed style, to load your batteris for next part.
Try to give Beringair a call or mail and see if they can help you.
And tell Provedenia they won a future tourist thanks to thier hospitality!
Keep it up...
I think Fedex dont deliver anything up there.
My guess is IF they need any special parts is that www.beringair.com can bring them over from US.
It is expensive and some walls to break, customs and officials. But hey, sometimes things can work smothe too.
From my point of view, is that the team...
Nice pictures!
But:
1. I would like to see bigger and more images
2. As a poster said earlyer: bits and pieces are spread around. Keep pny2009.com, the most up-to-date. please.
3. Updates. Some days 2-4 times a day. Then you have to wait 4 days. Once every 24H would be good.
I know i cant...
This is the way i would take based on the material i have. It is also safer to go more along the coast then inland, more inhabbited.
I marked my alternative route with blue dotts.
Will be intresting to see what way they will take!
Looks promising, but i have seen some pictures from there and the currents are real strong and fast there.
Even a 1 meter thick ice layer can be like a stream betwen thicker ice.
Look how these guys are drifting:

Probably you have seen this page, but if you havent it is worth a look i think.

And Oilman, how did you see it is a road there, maybe another, more detailed map?
Hubsteria
Good that it sounds safe and so, i hope repairs will not need special parts thats is inpossible to make yourself.
Wether doesent seem to bad:
http://www.klart.se/v%C3%A4der-provideniya.html
The route furteher on to Uelen seems hard at the moment, bad wether has a big role in the snow...
I hope they diddent have to walk to the town to get help.
I guess a walk would take 12-14 hours. Single way.
Figers crossed, cant stand waiting for those updates. =)
Hubsteria
Awesome!
Would it be possible for you to upload the detalied map somewhere so i can have a copy?
I read maps for brekfast. =)
The story is long enough, my story is that i am only a dreamer, yet.
Best regards,
Hubsteria
Where did you find that map?
And how do you know they had skidoos?
Well, anyway they make some progress and have good spirits, thats what matters.
