Is $8k too much to pay for an '03 limited with 89k miles? Apparently well cared for, although it might need a Tbelt. Do I just need to be patient for another with low miles?

thank you @ alex. I'm looking to for a Montero Gen III, found one in Alabama, at 89K- Tbelt has not yet been done. I will have to drive it back to Colorado. So I am trying to figure out what I need to do.

I have found reference to the timing belt replacement being 60, 90 and 100K... 60K was specific to California... HUH? Anyway who knows what it actually is? What happens if the timing belt breaks? Valves get bent? Nothing more than inconvenience? Thermo-Nuclear Catastrophe? Thanks.
