XP Camper V1 , Experience, thoughts???

HI Dennis, thanks for the info. By payload, I mean your Gross Vehicle weight minus curb weight as listed on your placard on the truck as set by the manufacturer. It's on the engraved placard on the door sill. Going to take a look and see If I can find a nice used DRW! Keep in touch.

Nice truck. Interested in what the payload is on the older DRWs. I looked it up online and I think it said 4500, is that correct? How much work/money is involved in switching over to super singles? I was leaning toward a new SRW but if I could find the right older DRW might change my mind.

XP Camper V1 , Experience, thoughts???

Well it's done. I ordered an XPCamper V1 and now the wait begins. Spent a year looking at options and reading online for hours and hours and now I can't wait to get the camper. Looking at a 10 month wait. I'll have lots of time to find a one ton truck and get the build done before the camper...

Just a few comments to add to the discussion. OSHA itself does not approve of any specific products, the products are tested by independent organizations to meet a performance requirement that is set by OSHA. Here is the quote from OSHA. XP Camper V1 , Experience, thoughts???

Thanks for the insights. I really want to keep the weight and profile as low as possible while still having a wet bath inside. I also like the extra storage that comes with the flat bed as manufactured by XP Camper.

6.7 power stroke Earthroamer engine rebuilds

How does the Cab come off an Earthroamer isn't the bunk area over the PU cab? Can they just unbolt the front quarter panels and take the hood off? Sorry if I sound silly but I have no idea?

Narrowed my search for an overland camper to the XP Camper V1, flatbed to go on a one ton PU. Was wondering if anyone on this forum has experience with this relatively rare camper set up. Any comments appreciated. Thanks.

6.7 power stroke Earthroamer engine rebuilds

Looking at several options for an overland vehicle and was wondering if the 6.7 PS in the older Earthroamers can be rebuilt in place or it needs to be removed from the truck I thought I had read somewhere that the 6.7 had to have the truck lifted off the frame to work on it. Maybe it's all an...
