I have already bought two of these: one for the wife in regular size and a wide for me. Buy the way, for those of us who are car camping (not motorcycle) the wide is better for a normal sized male. I find it just more comfortable and I know when I factor in a winter jacket it will be even more...
I just read your whole trip report on your web site. Very nice and love your pictures. The overlook of Lake Powel I had no idea was so pretty. Added some places to my Google Maps want to go places. Thanks for taking the time!
Are we talking DC? If so, impedance should not even be discussed. The dynamics of a solar panel is not an AC dynamic.

I agree that heat is lost to the atmosphere and measured in watts. But the electrons are all still in the wire flowing along from one end to the other. Power = current x voltage. The voltage drop caused by the skinny line means less watts available if the same current is assumed to be flowing...
@dwh, that’s a lot of reply which is probably directed at me.
Why do you say a volt meter is passing current when set to read voltage. By design the circuit in the meter would ideally have infinite resistance (open circuit) and in reality perhaps some fraction of a mA. This mA circuit in the...
I don’t think @dwh is correct with the statement of same voltage everywhere in circuit.
The current is certainly the same everywhere (you are not loosing amps to the atmosphere) and if there is no current flowing then there is no voltage drop, but once you have current flowing through a...
I found the Spot X to be unreliable. Kind of defeats the purpose if the “I’m OK” message doesn’t get to my wife. Switched to In Reach mini and it works perfect.
What is the stock size? 265/70 R17? For sure a tall side wall to protect against pot holes, may want to look at 255/85 (75?) R17 for a taller option. I sold my KO2s due to poor wet traction and now have Cooper STT Max.
I only learned about TAT a few days ago thanks to this forum. I am now envisioning a SoCal to Durango type of adventure in my future. Thanks for posting the GPS site!!
