Doesn't really apply much but I did find out by mistake that you can put Titanium in the microwave without any ill effects. It doesn't heat up much, doesn't do the lightning show that steel does. This was with the MSR titanium forks and spoons.

I've always been a Canon P&S fan, however when it came time to purchase a DSLR I went with Nikon because of the D40/X. The kit lenses are so much better. I do agree if your going SLR pick a brand and stick to it. So you can keep the same lenses on your newer or older bodies.

I would also recommend B&H, also Adorama. Both seem to be priced very well and have everything in stock that I've needed. Only drawback is they are on the East coast and I am in Washington State so shipping usually takes 5-7 days ground.

I've had really good luck with Lightroom, and it seems from the magazines allot the pros use at least some of Lightrooms functions. I've been using Both Lightroom and Adobe Bridge/ Photoshop.

Hopefully you don't have animals where you camp or else you would have to take all the food out every night. I can imagine what some squirrels would do to the soft sides of that thing, not to mention raccoons or bear.

I like the idea of the coffee ice cubs. Would work great if you had an ARB fridge or something to keep them frozen. Maybe little test tubes of frozen coffee that are sealed. That way if they start to thaw they are contained and still usable. Have to be real strong coffee to start though.

I tend to agree. If you are doing web work it is much easier to just shoot in jpg, however if you want to print or just want to make sure you get "the shot" then shoot in RAW. You have more options on how much you can fix/adjust a pictures.

For clean up I've been using an old refillable fire extinguisher. It has a removable top to refill it with water, and a shrader valve on it to pressurize it. I use my ARB compressor and hook it up till the pressure switch shuts it off. (right around 100psi) Works great for washing hands, dishes...
