I've never had it weighed, but SoCal Teardrops used to advertise this model at 1250 lbs dry weight, so it's in that ballpark.

The mattress does take up the entire length. I suppose you could sleep diagonally on the mattress, but I would expect you would be happier in a larger (longer) teardrop.

Mattress is a Full size (77" x 53"). Let me know if you have any other questions, or want any other pictures.
