I'm guessing the entire ladder is narrower, not just the top section. I haven't fixed this either, and plan to just cut the hooks off since they just get in the way now. Why they would even put wider hooks on the ladder that don't line up with anything is beyond me.

+1 for the TE as well. But I'm biased too. If you are doing bumpers etc then the angles don't matter. Also when you say $5-7 k more are you comparing similar options? The TE comes with the rear slider, inverter, backup cam, etc. I think those are all options on the SR5. I chose the TE...

I haven't tried opening the lid with the tent deployed yet. I'm building a slide out kitchen in the back half of the trailer, so I won't need to open the lid very often. also, FWIW the trailer is an M416. :beer:

I did the same. The Spidertrax have the secondary bonus of having metric studs, so your lug nuts can all be the same. And they are hub centric so you can run either the steelies or alloy Toyota wheels.

do you have a picture of the pad installed in your 4Runner? I was trying to figure out how to mount one, but wasn't sold on the seat rail mount w/o seeing it in a 5th gen.

Lol. Just measured my ladder, and it looks like it is the same size as elmo_4_vt's. The holes are ~10.5 inches center to center. It looks like Eezi-Awn could just send me a new top piece to the ladder with the hooks at 10.5 centers and I could drill the pop rivets and bolt the new one on. If I...

@elmo_4_vt: Any chance you could measure the width of your ladder? I'd like to figure out if they just cut the holes wrong, or changed the ladder. I'm not really excited about modifying a $3500 tent for something that would have been apparently wrong if they would have just leaned the ladder...
