    Towing with a Tacoma.....

I tow with a 2021 4Door Long Bed automatic Tacoma. Little power, slow on the highway, 10-13mpg. My trailer is 1300lb and small (Intech Flyer Chase). You will likely need airbags or HD springs as well.

Need help: Which trailer works best for us?

How about a different approach: Pickup camper like a Four Wheel Camper Fleet/Hawk for the adults, and the kids in something like a small trailer like the Intech Pursue with slide out kitchen. Like others have said, this is a tall order. Bonus, the trailer can stay at the site all set up while...

Anybody pull an Intec Flyer (the toyhauler size) with a newer Tacoma?

I tow a Chase with my 2021 TRDOR CCLB. I use the ECR tow button, I think my trailer weights about 1200#. Its slow and sometimes I have trouble out west holding 75mph. Tongue weight is tough on these, my little Chase is somewhere north of 250#, the springs on my truck sagged from day one and I...

    New gaiagps map feature?

The article said that you would not have to layer maps, sounds like they are putting a bundle together with all the info on one layer, however, when I hit the Overland tab, I still have to load each layer separately. I like that it has Alltrails for mountain biking.

    Inflatable boats

Great idea! My wife and I used to stuff a 10 foot inflatable and 6hp motor into the trunk of a Honda Civic and drive from Mass to Key West every winter. We snorkeled every day and even did a circumnavigation of Key West once. There are lots of affordable option out there now. I really like...

best materials to use for interior construction - not wood

Check out Boulter Plywood near Boston. Quality plywood with the right specifications will look great and hold up for years. Marine plywood cost a little more but won't separate if wet. They have some great info on their website and have been very helpful in person and on the phone.

Second Coastal Campground in Maine we checked out.

We have been up there a few times, Campobello is especially nice, we stayed at the provincial park a few miles away. Great area for road or gravel biking as well. If anyone heads up that way, don't miss Deer Island Point Campground overlooking Old Sow, you will see ships, whales, eagles, and a...
