    2000 F250 Budget Build

Here's what I'm up against: Started removing the bed rails today. Drilling the spot welds was definitely the best way to do it. Tried a 40 grit flap disc and the edge of a cutting wheel with no luck. The metal is just too thick and not flat enough. The bed floor is a little warped at...

    2000 F250 Budget Build

New bed rails have arrived! Gonna try out this $50 welding cart from amazon as my old one wasn't big enough to hold my argon cylinder.

    2000 F250 Budget Build

This is what the fuel foot that broke off looks like. I found it at the bottom of the fuel tank. New one ordered. This is the hutch mod kit. The return line on the 7.3 agitates the fuel right next to the pickup and introduces air into the injectors. The hutch mod routes the return fuel away...

    2000 F250 Budget Build

I guess its time to start a build thread. Starting out with a 2000 F250 7.3 Diesel, 4R100 Auto Trans, Edge Evo Programmer, 6" Rough Country Lift, 4" Exhaust, Cold Air Intake, and Eagle Alloy 102 wheels. Truck has 220k miles on it. Short term plan is to paint the wheels, install larger tires...

    Tire size for F250

Pics added. Its a 7.3 Diesel w/4r100 auto trans. It has an edge programmer, free flowing exhaust, and intake. Previous owner said he had 37's on it before and it caused a noticeable decrease in power. It has 3.73 gears and I would prefer not to have to change them. Front tire is a 315/75/16...

    Tire size for F250

Wondering if I should go with 35's or 37's on my 2000 F250 overland build. I would prefer the truck had a 4" lift, but it came with a brand new 6" lift and I don't plan on changing it anytime soon. Would 35's net better fuel economy and provide more articulation or are they just going to look...

Utility Bed and Slide in Camper

I have seen some buids with utility beds and slide in campers. Does anyone know if a full size truck camper will fit in one of these or will I need a truck camper for a midsize/mini truck? Are utility beds custom fit to certain model trucks or do you have to adapt them? Looking for something...

Newb Overlander on a Budget - Project DieselRunner

Hello all, You guys have a great forum here! I have been lurking for a couple years now, dreaming of building an expedition vehicle and heading out west. I had intentions of buying a 4th Gen 4runner and setting it up, but I'd rather not lose all that money on depreciation. My instincts are also...
