Looks like GM is bringing an EV suburban to the US market in 2028.
The only specs that I can find are the battery type and a blurb it will be a longer wheelbase. No pricing as of yet.
I assume WNY is west New York State? Well… I was going to suggest looking at Craigslist in the I-5 corridor from Seattle WA to Portland OR area for 2500 Burbs. But that’s a drive… or a fly n drive. Still, I-90 across the northern tier states is a nice drive.
Several ways to do this. Like above, you can DIY it. Start with cardboard or 1/4” mdf to do a mock up.
You can also draw it up and use a service like Send-Cut-Send. They’ll do a decent amount of the work and you finish it.
Stop by a local fabricator or welding shop. They can literally make...
I asked the same question re: 1999 Burb. I have a power lock rocker switch on the D pillar in back. I tapped into the orange (hot) wire for my ‘99 Burb.
It would be nice to use technology on car windows. Dark tint on bright days and it lessens as it becomes night. LCD technology allows for that. It just isn’t in the auto industry yet.
If you don’t understand what an officer has to process during a traffic stop, go ahead and excuse yourself from the conversation.
Everything he said (and more) has to happen for him to go home to his family every night.
As it is, go sign up for some ride alongs with your local departments...
Did a quick search… prices are near equal for (2) Viair 400C vs the CAT10L + 2000w inverter.
The difference, the inverter can be used for other electronic devices too. But the compressors can be used for tools.
We have a destination if it gets bad.
But roads between here and there can be paved to lifted 4x4 only. (Winter vs summer makes a difference too).
We have discussed an EMP, and that’s an area I know almost nothing about. I’m sure the older the vehicle the easier it is to prevent EMP damage...
We have a 99 1500 w 250,000 miles. It’s been a good rig but getting to the nickel/dime/dollar stage of its life.
Trans has been replaced.
Top end, suspension/steering are needing desperate attention.
The rest is a typical vehicle issues.
Given the price of fuel, it’s hard to think about...
Just checked out HD. They have them priced at $36.98. Other HD had them at $19.98.
A few weeks ago, our local store also had the Husky wood top workbench for $129 in store but $99 online. I asked if they would match price and the customer service rep said, “if you want that price, buy it...
I have seen some builds using two alternators one for the vehicle systems and a second for aux/house systems.
Granted, some engine bays don’t have the room for a second, but it’s something to think about.
You could also check with a local alternator shop and have them build you an alternator.
Are you wanting specific data sets for the model/engine you have? Or just need to access to any data?
I use the app “OBD Fusion” and one of their supported OBD 2 adapters (wifi or Bluetooth) to connect into the OBD port. I use an old iPhone for my Suburban and leave it in the vehicle.
I also...
