Purchased a Vevor Diesel heater for my Chevy Express build. I don't want a gas heater - too expensive.
Ideally, I could mount some sort of fuel tank or fuel cell and install a door on the side of the van for access. However, I think I'd need a fuel filler hose to reach the side of the van...
Kind of find to hard much info on the RV super bag and their website is straight out of the 90s :D
Can it be easily be shoved in the $25 sack add-on with the sheets?
What kind of temps can it handle? While our van is insulated, there's no source of heat, and it can get chilly inside, so want...
Do you use any sheets or blankets in addition to the blanket/comforter?
We sleep on Nemo Roamer camp pads that plenty of insulation below us, but we'd want at least a sheet between us and the pads (and maybe even the comforter), which I would think would add additional setup/tear down time.
Have a Chevy express camper / moto van. Since the bikes are hauled inside the van, the bed platform is stowed on the walls and has to be manually setup and torn down every time we set up / tear down camp. Since there's quite a few other steps involved in getting the bed setup (unload gear +...
Unfortunately, there's no room on the ceiling, the dirt bike handle bars routinely hit the ceiling during loading/unloading. With a taller van that is definitely the way I'd go though!
Hey folks, I'm trying to streamline the mattress setup for my Chevy express moto van. The way my van is setup, the bed platform is stowed on the walls during transit, and then when I arrive, I pull the bikes out and setup the mattress for the weekend. When the weekend is over, I tear down the...
Thanks everyone! The slides showed up last night, and I had a chance to hold up a scrap piece of 1/16" angle iron to the slide. Between this thread and seeing the scrap 1/16" angle iron next to the slide, it's pretty evident 1/16" isn't thick enough. Going to get 1/8" instead.
Yeah, would probably do 1.5".
Was planning on 250 lb slides, which might be a little light for the 3x rule. But this is a 2wd rig doesn't see any extreme off-road - it's more for hauling dirt bikes.
I'm getting started on a DIY fridge slide build for my van. I have some drawer slides on the way, and need to decide if 1/16" aluminum angle iron is sufficient or if should go up to 1/8" thick angle iron.
My fridge is an older ARB 50 qt - weighs 53 lbs, plus I figure another 80 lbs if it were...
Hi all, curious if anyone has any experience with the Monroe or KYB shocks. 2013 Express 2500, 155" WB moto/camper van setup. No lift, all terrain tires. I do take it on fire roads, but no crazy trails. It's an long wheelbase 2wd van after all.
Previous owner put in new monroe shocks (the...

I have a 2013 Chevy Express extended that I'm building into a moto / camper van. I want to add 3 switches to turn on 3 different sets of lights.
I've identified 2 possible locations for these switches:
1. Mounted vertically, on the bottom of the B pillar on the factory trim that covers up the...
Hey folks,
I'd like to mount add an awning to my Chevy Express, but do not want to add a roof rack. I've seen pictures of it being done, but unfortunately the resolution isn't good enough to see who makes the brackets.
Any ideas on what brackets are out there that I could use?
Thanks
I want to get refurbished batteries from the local interstate dealer. The group 24DC's are $47 (82 AH), group 31DC's are $53 (98 AH). So there's a minimal price difference for the group 31, provided I can find an easy way to mount it.
Long term, I want to power a .88AH ARB fridge over 4-5...
@Willsfree Looks like those are group 24 battery trays as well... That sure is a sweet build though!!
Couldn't find anything in that style for group 31's on summit racing ?
Was hoping to avoid welding as I don't have a welder or access to one. Where I am, it's probably $200+ to just get a welder to show up.
The bolt on tray was attractive in that it was fairly inexpensive, just wished it was 2 inches wider so it'd fit a 13" wide group 31 battery instead of an...
Is there battery box / tray that would fit a 13" wide group 31 battery? Trying to mount one or two group 31 batteries to the frame rail of my chevy express.
I've searched everywhere I can think to look, and can only find trays that would fit a 11" wide group 24 battery like this one
Thanks
