Looking at xterras as a new DD & camping rig.

I own a Frontier and I think there'd be enough space in the backseats for a kid. I'm fairly certain the legroom is the same in the Frontier and Xterra. However, I wouldn't want to have anyone over 5'5" sitting in the back for 3-7 days. Torture is outlawed due to the Geneva Convention these days.

    My 2001 Pathfinder (R50 ) mild/budget build

After watching this thread, I hate it whenever I see an R50 go by on the road. I want one, too!

    An Axe - Seriously?

It's only sitting there for photography purposes right now. I've got a nylon sheath coming for it whenever I actually throw it in the bed for a more meaningful purpose. Trust me, if there's a way for me to cut myself on sharp objects, I will totally find a way.

    An Axe - Seriously?

http://firesafetyplus.com/heavydutyfireflapperwithfiberglasshandle.aspx They're great at smothering out small brush fires. They're also not labor-intensive, so they're easier to use throughout the day. Here's some pictures of the Pulaski I mounted up yesterday on the truck:

    Frontier/Xterra Spare Center Cap

D'oh. That would probably help. It would be for the 2005-onwards X/Frontier.

    An Axe - Seriously?

They were great for working on fire breaks. Granted, the "flappers" were usually the most used, since most of our fires were prairie or brush fires. However, a set of flappers isn't quite as romantic as a Pulaski... I bought a True Temper (Not the best I could buy, I know.) a few days ago...

    Frontier/Xterra Spare Center Cap

I'm sorry if this question comes off as completely moronic, but... Does anyone know what center cap we can use with the spare's center cap? I'm about ready to pull the trigger in another month or two for some 235/85/16 tires and I've decided to run them on stock Frontier spares. I don't...

    Stolenheron's 2013 Frontier CC PRO4X

Think I might do that next weekend when I do my oil change. Toyota Tech: What can I do for you today, sir? Me: Yeah, I need this part number. Toyota Tech: Ah, sure thing! Doing some work to your Tacoma? Me: No, working on my Frontier. Toyota Tech: ... Me: .... Toyota Tech: We're ... we're a...

    An Axe - Seriously?

The Pulaski tool was my favorite tool when I was on the FD like five million years ago. (Okay, maybe four years ago.) I'm getting ready to buy one to throw on the Nissan for when we go out on off-road excursions, though I'd be the first to admit I'm not quite sure what I'm really going to use...

    Rock Auto Parts

Hadn't tried that, yet. I've been doing the same thing looking at ARB products as of late. Amazon Prime is simply amazing at times. Unfortunately, I've removed it from my favorites tab. Everytime I go on there, I add something to my cart and the balance just gets bigger and bigger...

    ARB bumper light question...

I had one on the nose of my old XJ. Mine came ready to wire up to splice into the existing blinker wires. I ran them on a constant burn. To each their own. "Why do you have four turn signals?" "I really want to tell people I'm turning."

    EMP jeep

Though it could be argued that we know next-to-nothing about EMPs, there have been enough experiments to show that they would affect motor vehicles in some way. Future Weapons did a special on it back in the day: However, the practically of preparing for an EMP with the thought that you're...

    Co-opski’s Last Frontier Build

Thankfully, the shorelines that you can drive up on in Kentucky (Namely LBL) have hard-packed sand, so I don't expect it to be much of a problem. I'd simply worry about showing up at an actual beach and running into issues...

    Stolenheron's 2013 Frontier CC PRO4X

I need one of those for when the girlfriend's German Shepherd joins us out at the park. What's worse is that my Frontier came with that mesh seat material that is a pain to vacuum out. Granted, you also need to tie her in the truck to keep her from jumping out...

    Co-opski’s Last Frontier Build

Sorry for you having to answer twenty questions, but... How do you think they'd do in sand? I'm seriously interested in putting them on mine, but the truck will probably go on some sandy beaches someday. If someone could get stuck right on the edge of the ocean with high tide rolling in...

Considering a Frontier as overlanding platform, need some opinions

A little late to the party, but... I've had my SV Frontier since last July. Still stock, but I've had an absolute blast in the thing. By the time this weekend rolls around, the odometer will roll over 15,000 miles. I have not had a single issue out of the truck, save for the fact that the...

    RuggedStud's '98 Frontier Build

Every single job I see that guy do has been beautiful. Honestly, whenever I get around to getting a rear bumper on my Frontier, I will definitely have him do it. ... But after the ARB I had on the old XJ, I will 100% buy one again. I definitely felt better with it on, especially driving in...
