I think I read somewhere that the habitat was attached differently in the Baja models, but I’m not sure.
Unfortunately, 1999 or maybe 2000 was the last year of the side door with the full time bed in the back. I feel like I’m the last 8 months or so I have heard of 3 of those changing hands...
Sorry you had to take that trip, but thanks for the very detailed response here. I inquired about this Chinook back in late September when I was driving close by and got random responses long after I had left.
I didn't want to put his on Facebook, but I will here. September 24th, I offered...
Not mine, but I wish it was lol. Of course if I could get that price, then I would have to sell it. Only afflation is I own a 2000 v10 Chinook Premier (less expensive model).

There were pictures of the inside. You have to click on the +97 picture. On the outside, it is strange how it looks like it goes back to the original decals on the front.
The problem with requiring a certain number of posts before a sale ad is you won’t likely get good contributions. My suggestion would be to allow price comments for people labeled as new members. Although that would open up a can of worms. Personally I like reading the for sale ads. Like...
I have a 2000 Chinook Premier (lower optioned, square window and shorter than the Glacier above.). Mine has 4 lap belts in the dinette, 3 for the couch and obviously 2 seatbelts for the front seats. That was part of the appeal.
I would have preferred a side door with the fixed bed in the back...
Looks great! I would love more details. I recently bought a 2000 Chinook Premier with 200k miles. It runs great right right now. I basically finished fixing all the systems, and I am going to use it for a year before any major changes. If we decide to keep it, I really want 4x4. My ideal...
Price went up to $42k. Looks like a cool little camper. I don't see a spare tire, and I doubt it is under the back since the black water tank would most likely be there. I also don't see a generator or AC. That does make the roof line nice if you don't "need" it.
Andreas,
I believe yours is hard mounted to the cab and the AEONrv has a rubber accordion boot. If adding lift and/or 4wd do you see any risk with hard mounting it to the Transit cab? I like the ruggedness of the Ford E series, but not needing a subframe and factory AWD would be huge.
In case anyone is interested, they have had it for sale for about a week now at Pilip Ambulance. That was an expensive 120 mile drive, oil change and two new glow plugs!
Makes me sick for a number of reasons:
1st is I should have bought it, but my wife would want me to sell it.
2nd- I wonder...
Craigslist link
Strange that he asks $30k in the title and $35k in the main text. Also strange how most of his pictures are screen shots. Looks pretty nice though.
Pretty sure that has been for sale for a long time. If I get time, I might try and find it back in the archives. Looks like the box is really tall, and that is what I remember. Those cell phone pictures scream scam to me.
I’ve thought about this and it seems like a good route. Could get factory AWD which for the price would be nice. I don’t need off road performance. I would like something that I can drive through 11” of unplowed snow on dirt roads, western muddy roads. Waiting on seeing how well these lift...
On 2/15/21 I found a 2019 12’ foot box van SRW for $28,500, asking $30. Couldn’t get my wife to go for it. V10 30k miles, but it still had the warranty. Rear barn doors. I think it even had a side door but the pics on the email are gone. Was for sale for at least 3 weeks. Can’t remember the...
Well it jumped $5k again. If you look at the time stamps must have reached the high bidder for a minute. Don’t forget the 12.5% buyers premium. Right now if you bid it would be just over $41k. I was hopeful yesterday because this is only 4 hours from me, but not even asking today.
