@1leglance We had a Dometik CoolFreeze CDF11 in the space between the kitchen and the passenger seat to store our food, but are now using the Dometik in our Unimog.
The Dometik is great, but any similar sized electric cooler will do fine in that location.
See picture for illustration. Cooler...
No, unfortunately I have not seen that one (yet). But it shows that these special Puch’s are startIng to get the love and attention they deserve,
The Swiss Army Puch’s are the Swiss Army knife version of the Mercedes G.
Pun intended. Ok, I’ll see myself out….. ?
Temperatures are warming up in the Northeast.
The GWagon is still available.
As we are traveling for the next couple of months, I have given the G to a local dealer to advertise and sell.
If seriously interested, please PM me and I’ll make the connection.
@Purpledawg we took the G on a 1,000 mile trip to Raleigh and back last month. The power to weight ratio obviously isn’t phenomenal, but I picked 18 wheelers and followed in their slipstream. Cruised around 70-75 mph shown by GPS, which was faster than I thought we were going….

All, we and the GWagon will be in the Raleigh, NC area between January 7th and January 14th, in case anyone local to the area wants to check out the GWagon Camper “in the flesh (or metal)”.

Can you elaborate what specifically you’re looking for?
Thanks.
@Dendy Jarrett The vehicle is currently located in Eastern Pennsylvania, about 45 minutes west of Philadelphia.
I have also added this information to the original post.
@AndyBobby the overall height of the G with the hardtop is about 93 inches.
@mk216v there are some pictures in the Flikr album with inside measurements. The inside of the shell measures about 68 inches to where it meets the rollbar. Not sure about the length of the alcoven. I’m in Tampa right...
I found this write up for an A/C retrofit from Nostalgic A/C. Sure that this is just one of several options:

@UncleFunk the training was at Rausch Creek Off-road Park North of Harrisburg, PA. Great Park, great instructor.
I agree, that an A/C is a much needed option most of the year in Central and Southern Florida. Given the number of older G Wagons, I am sure there are retrofit kits available.
Sharing a picture from off-road training in the spring where the instructor challenged me to scale the hill without using the diff locks.
It taught me how to better read the terrain without having to rely on additional help from your vehicle. I can highly recommend trying this.
Now imagine...
