I did read the original post but it wasn't clear that space was the issue. My bad. I'm sure you could find room though. Also a yeti cooler (and probably some knock off brands) is bear proof if a lock or bolt is used for the two corners to keep it shut (yeti has these built in).
I wouldn't...
OK, so the Tune M1 uses bolted together extrusion frames? While extrusion frames with composite panels which are bonded together are a more durable design? And something like the OEV Backcountry does not use a bolted together extrusion frame?
I'm not sure what Dan Grec's build is. I thought we were talking about the Tune M1 above re: design using extrusions. Isn't the Tune M1 bolted together at the corners, etc. and not bonded?
I'm just asking because I'm having trouble understanding how the design of the Tune M1 differs from...
Aren't some of the best (most rugged) truck campers and "off-road" trailers (I'm thinking of the OEV Backcountry and Boreas XT, for example) extrusion frames with composite panels?
My understanding, and I'm not an expert on this which is why I'm asking, is that something like the OEV...
This is great! Keep posting! I'm in the Denver area and need to go check out one of these. I'm in the market for some type of pop up shell camper (not a wedge style) and these are high up on the list.
My Boreas XT sits perfectly level with the standard hitch (I guess there is a 2" drop built into the shape of the hitch) with a stock F-150 with the FX-4 package.
I am in Boulder, CO. At the very least I have plans to list the trailer this spring to see if it sells. Feel free to DM me and get me in touch with your buddy.
2022 Boreas XT
Mine tows great but I have the bike rack on the front/tongue and also have the more current chassis/suspension than the one pictured above.
If you're interested in used I was thinking about selling mine this spring. It's the 2022 model so it has the current chassis, suspension, and the most recent doors/windows (the 2021 doors did not have a built in window you could open).
It's in perfect condition and has a ton of upgrades. The...
OK thanks all. So the security issue with respect to windows just has to do with a potential thief being able to look inside and see valuables in the back.
I have heard several people mention security with respect to windows in a camper/topper. If the thief is willing to break a window, couldn't they just break one of the front door windows and then hit the unlock button to unlock the tailgate? Or is the security more for visibility so that a...
I'm in the same boat as you (considering OVRLND or Tune M1). I don't think I need a pass through, but I like the idea of rear visibility when driving. Seems like that might actually work for the Tune M1 - the window looks big enough to give some real visibility, but I haven't seen one in...
I have CO Trex and really like it. I'm not sure if it shows public/private land boundaries so that you can know for sure whether or not you're camping on public lands. I'll check...
