    Erde 102 - small camping/general duty trailer

First modification done to the trailer, inspired by lots of trailers here on the forum. I wanted somewhere to store the tools required to change a tyre on the trailer and also to ensure bolts are tight etc and somewhere to store any straps/bungees. I'm afraid I don't know what size this ammo...

Zero budget just get out there adventure van

Yes it truly amazes me. It was in great condition, all lights working etc. Even had the instruction book tied to it! Shame I've not had the chance to use it yet.

Zero budget just get out there adventure van

Got myself a free bike rack (saved from the skip), should add another option for camping if we are very gear heavy and struggling for space whilst carrying the bikes.

Zero budget just get out there adventure van

My thoughts exactly, although I'm now getting to a point that I need to sort out more space for the tools/spares. I'm really not sure what to do so I can keep everything stored away neatly. Especially if I take extras on longer drives.

Picked up a ridiculously cheap Erde 102 trailer to potentially help with camping/general house jobs. Thread 'Erde 102 - small camping/general duty trailer' https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/erde-102-small-camping-general-duty-trailer.242309/

    Erde 102 - small camping/general duty trailer

Cheers! My dad has a larger version he bought many years ago and it really was great. Not so much use when you have a van, but may be good to keep the majority of camping gear in (chairs/tables etc) and free up space in the van. Or great for tip runs with garden waste to save on mess. We'll see...

    Erde 102 - small camping/general duty trailer

Here is my Erde 102 trailer that I'll use and maybe modify to help camp and do general house jobs. This is what we here in the UK have as our version of the Harbour Freight trailer. Available from lots of retailers in 3 common sizes, 102 the smallest, 122 is the mid size and 143 the larger...

Another first ticked off with the van. My first real tree on the roof!

Zero budget just get out there adventure van

Another reason I love having the van, just so handy to have for life jobs. Moved a friends motorbike. (Still to put my own in the van even though I've moved a few for other people) Used a sketchy ramp, so decided to make my own to fit and work better. Perhaps I'll get around to painting it...

Zero budget just get out there adventure van

First frosty (pleasure not just commuting) journey out in the van this winter. Hoping to catch a glimpse of the northern lights, but it wasn't to be.

I think that depends on the product chosen, the Waxoyl I use stays as a waxy finish that never dries, and sort of 'heals' over a stone chip. Although I do reapply it anyway.

    Kitchen Kit/Chuck Box

I wish to thank this thread for the inspiration to build a chuck box, my execution may not be anywhere close to what some of you have, but it does work, and wow its exactly what I was looking for after weeks of searching for some kind of solution. My outside dimensions were fixed by where/how I...

Zero budget just get out there adventure van

Thanks for the kind words, My approach so far has been to use brush on Waxoyl on the underside/under the arches. Then into any holes or areas I can't reach I have used aerosol cans of stonechip. I think what @joeblack5 is referencing is if you have a compressor there are a variety of nozzles...

Zero budget just get out there adventure van

More fixing required on the van, another knocking on the front end, diagnosed top mounts. So struts off New top mounts on the right old on the left Removed more than required from the engine bay to assess the issue/repair Good excuse to buy more tools though, so got an impact wrench...

Zero budget just get out there adventure van

It's been a few weeks and some miles now and the fuel system seems to be all good. (Which is good because my normal daily driver has been a right job doing the brakes on it! Hopefully that's all sorted now to) But time off meant another day out to somewhere new, another area I've been near but...

1998.5 Dodge Ram CTD - Sally

Just read through this. What an inspirational build you have! Fantastic documentation of some great engineering. Hope you continue to enjoy Sally.

Zero budget just get out there adventure van

Well the van broke down on me, a diesel pipe came off the fuel filter. New hoses have been fitted, better clamps and a new filter too. Hopefully it's good to go again now. Damn scary experience! Fortunately, I had the tools to limp it back. I've since added to the toolkit spare clamps, hoses...

Pics of your Bikes and Rides

It never fails to put a smile on my face. I've just bought some more casual riding gear so I can use it more/easier than with the 1 piece suit every time. I'd love to add another bike to the stable (when money allows) Something that allows me to take my partner out and cover some more distance...

Luggage for a sports bike tour

Very expensive, but I'll have a deeper look into them. Worth every penny if I get to ride this bike more as a result!
