    Toyota Losing it's Mojo?

not the 5.7... that hasn't been available since 2021... The Twin Turbo v6.

    Toyota Losing it's Mojo?

Yes... there are some new Tundra owners on their 3rd engine. The new V6 TT may look good on paper, but too many dying in the wild. I expect that 100k recall count to grow. It's not "preventative" replacement. It's "oh crap... " Again, Overton Window. As long as Toyota owners "believe" and/or...

    Toyota Losing it's Mojo?

the "didn't get all of the machining debris" out of the block claim... supposedly was "fixed" well over a year ago, but engines are still failing.

    Toyota Losing it's Mojo?

Not all Tacoma frames were replaced. There are some Toyota tundra owners on their 3rd engine…. For an issue Toyota claims was solved a long time ago. Toyota doesn’t take any better care of the consumer than any other mfg… Toyota owners just think they do. And that may be all that is needed...

    Toyota Losing it's Mojo?

I'm a bit of a fan boy. I currently own 3 tacoma's and a GX. But I doubt I'll ever buy anything new from Toyota... Sure, some of them look nice and have great specs on paper... but prices are too high, reliability too low... I'll stick w/ my current collection.

Good Luck Trying to Trade In Your ‘22-23 Tundra ☹️

neighbor is following this pretty closely... there are reports of at least 1 hybrid losing an engine.... EDIT: and I think you're correct re: them not being in the recall because they are still "motive" via battery.

Toyota Sequoia Purchase for Overlanding: 1st Gen vs 2nd Gen?

I really liked my 07 limited. Plenty of power, much better mileage than the 1st gen tundra’s (which I still don’t believe.) I really liked the rear air bags for hauling. Wasn't a fan of the center row captains chairs, but I bought used and took what I could get. Turning radius is still about the...

Good Luck Trying to Trade In Your ‘22-23 Tundra ☹️

Sounds like you’re not actually following this situation at all…. And take the “Toyota will fix” blinders off… that is a toyota of a different generation.

    2004 Tacoma SAS

the fact that the cooler is slightly crooked is driving my OCD nuts. :p Curious how the plate cooler works. I have had a PSC in-line cooler for a decade plus, but I've "read on the internet" that it doesn't actually cool as well as the plate style.

Advice requested:$35K budget, what are you buying and why?

    For $35k, I’m buying a $8k excursion, swapping in a 7.3 Godzilla/10-speed combo, 05+ axles and 35”-37” tires and enjoying.

    What Tundra do you recommend?

Nope… wasn't really “fixed.” Best bet is to acquire a truck from the south.

    What Tundra do you recommend?

4wd Limited was also offered in access cab. Many had the odd stepside bed. Limited models are also different depending on the part of the country you are in. Many in the limiteds do not have leather seats. Personal preference (having owned 4 1st gens and 1st gen Sequoia) is 05/06 Limited. If you...

so the Jeep Comanche isn't considered a pickup? The Subaru Brat... the Ford Maverick... Cyber Truck. El Camino... I wasn't aware that being a unibody disqualified something as a pickup.
