Here's an artical from another manufacturer that might help to understand what's going on with multiple lithium batteries in parallel: https://www.wattcycle.com/blogs/news/why-wattcycle-bluetooth-version-battery-take-turns-in-parallel-systems
I've got 3 - 140AH's hooked up in parallel, sometimes 1 battery will discharge, while the other 2 "standby", other times they all 3 are being used. I've not figured out WHY, but eventually they all get brought back to 100%, so I guess all is well.
I always have recovery gear with us. Ophir Pass was pretty easy (a little slippage on loose rocks on an uphill section, just before a tight left turn, but no biggee). Cinnamon Pass was a little more difficult. Heading from Animas Forks to Lake City, after the actual "Pass", about a mile into...
Actually, we camped just outside of Animas Forks, then went over Cinnamon Pass where this pic was taken. We ended up camped at Lake San Cristobal, just out of Lake City that night. Here's a pic of our campsite near AF. You can see the mill off in the distance.
I have the charger, but I don't take it with us. It's only to charge the batteries if I remove them from the trailer. That deal sounds great 165AH for only $365, go for it!!! I think the existing inverter/charger will work fine after you change the settings for the new batteries.
My batteries are under the bench seat. Lift the seat bottom, move the seat back, & lift up the cover, voila! Make sure you clean the connections on the cables real well, the amount of resistance between dirty & clean connections would blow your mind. I have a genuine rocket-scientist friend that...
When I bought mine through Amazon last year, I think they were $389 each. So, since everything keeps going up in price, I'd go with "New" at the $382 and 'smile all the while'. That's just me though.
The AGMs would do all that, but with the Lithiums, they'll run twice as long due to the Lithium batteries holding their voltage throughout the discharge cycle until the very end. It's amazing what a difference they make. The only thing that won't run with your setup is the AC, unless you're...
The original batteries are junk. They didn't keep them charged, etc, and most folks I know, including myself, experienced the batteries not holding a charge at all. Instead of wasting time & money on new AGM batteries, go right to Lifepo4. I put 3) 12.8v 140AH LiTime batteries from Amazon. 420AH...
You could use a small electric room heater set on the lowest setting, but that will still draw a lot of juice, and would necessitate keeping your trailer plugged in. I might try a dehumidifier rod like I use in my gun safe. I think it might draw a lot less amps. We haven't had much of a winter...
Those Triangle tires are junk, replaced them last summer after a bad blow out. I fit 3 140AH Litime lifepo4 batteries in my D13, exact same size as the AGMs. Big difference. Don't forget to change your inverter / charger settings :)
