    Snow Peak Addiction

Bought the IGT Extension table on sale this summer. I have an IGT4 which is great, but the extension table is different and good for a 2 set-up. Only downside, is that you can't use the grill or high heat as the heat can burn the bamboo top. Using regular burners seems fine, but I did move the...

    Santana/Defender 110 Overland Build Cummins R2.8

In October 23, she tackled the Rubicon Trail. On the second day, I was driving up a large step and heard very bad noises from the rear. The passenger side rear leaf spring broke, wedging the leaf spring under the body. Out came the batteries and we trail welded a plate to keep the rest of the...

    Santana/Defender 110 Overland Build Cummins R2.8

Sorry I haven't updated this thread in so long. A lot has happened, including finishing the engine, driving it to Expo in Flagstaff 2023 after just a few 100 miles on the engine. When I first drove it home, I had a major issue with the alternator wire dropping too close to the exhaust manifold...

    Snow Peak Addiction

I'm looking at building the IGT system into my drawer system for the back of my old Defender 110. I have 2 ideas, one with the IGT frame attached to heavy duty slides underneath the fridge slide and another where a support can swing down and hold the IGT attached to the end of the fridge slide...

Roof bars and roof top tent pics

I got access to a pre-production Grenadier to do some test fitting of products. I came up with a Front Runner set of crossbars, not yet available and bolted them directly to Overland Pros Baja clamshell roof top tent. The rear ladder and spare tire can be used for tent access, though attaching...

Broke my oven pizza stone a couple years ago. I tried a few substitutes but none really worked so I broke down and bought a new oven. Fired it up again for some pizza at home using the double BBQ which gets plenty hot. Haven't been on the trail as much this year but heading to Oregon for a week...

    Santana/Defender 110 Overland Build Cummins R2.8

Mounted fuel filter in the driver side rear under 2nd row seats to the frame. Ran 6AN lines with aluminum fittings along the frame to front of the engine. Dropped the gas tank and put new pickup tubes as the original tubes were quite small. Cummins needs more fuel. Cleaned tank, cut new hole...

    Santana/Defender 110 Overland Build Cummins R2.8

Went from 10an to 8an to 6an lines to remote cooler. Got them tightened up but then once I started the engine, it was leaking pretty bad at the remote oil cooler plate. Tightened the nuts up more, still leaking. Took plate off and inspected gasket. I had changed the bolts since the plate was...

    Santana/Defender 110 Overland Build Cummins R2.8

Mounted 2 coolers, one for tranny and one for oil. Found some long skinny ones. Used some nutcerts and made some brackets to mount on the frame below the AC. Used 8AN for tranny and then a new saga began with my remote oil cooler plate...

    Snow Peak Addiction

Just picked up the Giga LI stove last week on sale. Its a beast! hoping to use it for large pots and to get cast iron good and hot for searing steak. Hoping to complete the build out on my Defender 110 with a sliding IGT table in the rear still connected to the vehicle. Just got the Cummins...

Need to take off oil cooler and use a remote oil cooler as it is too close to the steering box. Just barely fits!

    Santana/Defender 110 Overland Build Cummins R2.8

Making major progress. Need to document.... Found an early engine R2.8 through Uncle Douglas and his contacts. Cummins is backed up right now so I got lucky. Got the 300tdi from a truck from Brazil that Scully had. I think a cooling channel plugged up causing the overheat. It's gone to be...

    Watch water winter camping!

My buddy was desert camping and they hit some low temps into the teens! His friends came with trailers (turtlebacks) and they both froze lines causing leaks and issues. Be sure you drain your tanks and lines before hitting really cold weather! Stay warm!

Recently purchased P38, now it has issues(as expected).

Sorry, but you are totally wrong. 1996-1999 have 2 wheel rear traction control and 2000-2002 models have 4 wheel traction control that is very effective. I have taken my P38 on some serious trails including the Rubicon and it was very good keeping up with other rovers than had locking rear...

Alternatives to heavy dark canvass awning walls

Check out Overland Pros new Wraptor 3K 180 degree awning. It is a grey color but no black underneath. It provides great coverage without being a cave. The awning is waterproof canvas while the walls connect with velcro and are a lighter weight poly material. Velcro is much easier to attach than...

Overland Pros Anza 2000 RTT Feedback

I have the Anza 2000 and it is an awesome tent. The mattress is 3 inches which is taller than others and it is much easier to setup. The spring rods are a pain in the butt and I would spend more time putting up spring rods than opening my old tent. Its bigger than a king size bed and we slept 5...
