It is a shame this is a bit unwieldly/heavy to ship or I would send a pile over to the States
Really digging the combo. The middle 'rack' prevents your food from falling in the Fireplace and holds a skillet for sauce or onions etc.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but does anyone know of a good stainless steel replacement for a Large Takibi Fireplace Grill? Mine has completely rusted, so now I'm using the Half Grill Pros that came with my Double BBQ box, but I'm looking for some spares and don't want to spend $50 each on a few more.

stainless half pros should be good forever if taken care of... if they rust then its not stainless or you added iron somehow from scraping it with steel etc. the takibi grate is chromed steel which is why it rusts once the chrome is comprimised by heat and scraping etc. i just use my half pro on the takibi and call it a day and never even used the takibi grate lol its still in the packaging

fully agree, stainless half pros are the way to go. I have never liked like chrome plates grates.
The only one I have is the integrated grate/bridge for the small Takibi. I thought at one point I saw a stainless grate/bridge setup for the small on ebay but have never been able to find it again.

Hello, I’m Rich and recently been diagnosed as a Snow Peak addict.

Just finished reading this 4,000+ post thread after finding it looking for Snowpeak table reviews.

It’s the most expensive thing I’ve ever read!

I’ve gone from owning a new Takibi Large set to adding on:

- Jikaro fire table
- Floga
- Stand for Takibi
- Black My Table (With extra shelf)
- Folding Torch
- Mini Flame
- Large Knife & Cutting Board
- Fire Mittens

I’ve even ended up with a Takibi T-shirt & Sticker for my Campervan

Next I’m looking to order the ‘Extension IGT Table’ and the Field Oven.

Eventually want a full IGT setup but in the UK so no gas burners are on sale here yet… Might have to import like i did with the Torch and Mini Flame.

I have and use quite a bit of Snow Peak gear and have always (well mostly-that butane torch flooding problem...) thought it was top tier stuff, well thought out and executed. I have never used, or even seen, one of their tents but I just had the opportunity to test their Alpha Breeze and I have to say, it is a lovely ground tent for basecamp duty. It is roomy, well constructed and so much easier to set up than I had expected. I think it is a great alternative to something like a Springbar (much lighter and compact while having a touch less room and not canvas) and the popular Gazelle (not as convenient but a heck of a lot easier to pack). The Snow Peak Addiction is alive and well here...
It began with a search for a simple hibachi to cook on at the Coast...

Well, you know the rest...

Started with the Takibi Fire and Grill...

Then Snow Peak Balled into the Torch, fire tools, BBQ tools, spoons, Jikaro table, XL P&C, IGT CK Starter set X2, Grill Burner, and the Living Lodge Med....

I guess it will stop when HH6 stages Her own intervention....

Haven't seen the Living Lodge before. Looks roomy...
How do you get on with the grill burner? I like it as more and more campsites prohibit the use of charcoal/open fire, but I wish it had a bit more oomph/power. Might have to experiment with different gas cartridges.

It is an absolutely wonderful tent but is too big for me to lug around and set up solo.

I traded it in for an Entry Enfield and we'll see how that works.
Getting old is not fun at times.

I love the Grill Burner!!
Did shrimp and clams on it Monday and it worked great.
Letting the cast iron plate warm up and tenting with foil on the clams worked well.

Just don't set the little basket with the plastic inserts next to it...
Had a small meltdown...

Broke my oven pizza stone a couple years ago. I tried a few substitutes but none really worked so I broke down and bought a new oven. Fired it up again for some pizza at home using the double BBQ which gets plenty hot. Haven't been on the trail as much this year but heading to Oregon for a week of exploring Owhyee. Looking forward to testing out the GigaPower stove for the first time.
