Should I buy a third one?

Yea. I though it would be a 700rh not a th400. Have the rpo codes out of the glove box. Nothing fancy. Does have a 40 gal tank, 15in wheels, rear a/c, 3.73 gears. Nothing fancy. My gut is telling me to instead use money on the 88 I already have. Yes, better mileage with the diesel, but heck...

Should I buy a third one?

Then again....$1500 into the 88 I already have would go a long way. I guess it's the diesel mystique!

Should I buy a third one?

Yea, call me crazy. Already have a 94 4x4 3/4 454 burb, and an 88 4x4 3/4 350 burb. I've found an 87 4x4 1/2 6.2 burb not too far away that I think I can get for under $1500. Seller says it has 264K miles, new transmission. Body looks relatively straight. Very little rust. Front grill needs...

Project “Polar Bear”: 1989 V2500 Suburban

That's just too slick. Great job. I wonder if drive shafts etc. would also be reusable if I put an NV4500 in place of the TH400 in my 88' burb? A manual 5 speed would be a great way to get overdrive. Of course there would be the extra work of getting the clutch pedal and linkage in. Michael

    New Member - 88 and 94 Suburbans

Thanks for the welcome. Here's a photo of the 88' yesterday up at Garden Valley, ID. You can see I got the running boards off. Came back from there with a set of used 255/85/16's on aluminum wheels that I can't wait to get on the old blue burb.

    New Member - 88 and 94 Suburbans

Howdy, Been lurking here for a number of months...about time to introduce myself. I have two suburbans, a 94' 3/4 4x4 454 4l80e barn doors that I've had two years now, and I just picked up an 88' 3/4 4x4 350 TH400 barn doors a week ago Friday for $900. I have lots of ideas of what I'd like to...
